My step daughter, 20 years old and having just given birth to a healthy girl on Tuesday, is in intensive care in critical condition with a collapsed lung. She has heart problems and had been approved for SS Disability last year. She is on Medicaid and in a good regional hospital.
Her other two girls, two and three years old, live with us. The father is taking care of the newborn and doing a pretty good job.
Incidentally, my step daughter had vigorously opposed the suggestions from one or two relatives on the other side that she have an abortion. The new little girl, Riley, is really cute and smiles alot.
