What we'd like to see as a result of Bush's second term
Jesse Jackster | 11-5-4 | Jesse Jackster

Here are some possible wishlist items for Bush's second term and what we might expect in 2008:

1) The US should withdraw from the UN and stop generously paying 80% of the cost to run it. It is obvious that the UN is a completely corrupt organization as exemplified by the dishonesty of most of the UN opposition countries during the Iraq inspections. As Democrats know, but probably chose to ignore, France, Germany, and Russia all were getting huge oil bribes from Saddam to influence them to vote against removal of Saddam. Russia was helping Iraq get rid of weapons shortly before the invasion.

We also all know that France supplied Iraq with nuclear technology before Israel thankfully blew up their reactor in 1981. France also was supplying Iraq with weapons & land mines in the days & weeks prior to the US invasion of Iraq. Many of the land mines that blew up some of our soldiers and Iraqi children had French labels on them. Are these people our friends? To hell with the French. Of course these countries were not objective!! They had HUGE conflicts of interest. Money money money and greed! In any rational court system, if someone has a conflict of interest, they are not allowed to serve as a juror, but not in the UN. Think about it! When the U.S. realized it had a corrupt jury, we went alone into Iraq and rightfully so. When the U.S. resigns, they should present a laundry list of UN Corruption and state that it will return if they clean up their act. New UN office shall be in Sudan where they can study real human rights violations.

2) In the second term, Bush may very well be vindicated with respect to the WMD in Iraq isssue as the story develops, but this would occur long after the damage from the Michael Moores of the world was done.

It is shameful that the Limosine Liberals made such a sneaky claim that "Bush lied" about WMD in Iraq. He didn't lie if he believed there were WMD in Iraq. A lie involves intent to deceive.

The idiots who believed Michael Moore's dishonest propaganda movie have been hoodwinked into believing Bush lied, but by all accounts, he didn't. Even John Kerry and Bill Clinton are on record stating that Saddam had WMD. Saddam had used WMD already on his own people and on Iran. He attacked Kuwait. What more do people need to know? His WMD most likely went to Syria. History will probably show the CIA probably had correct information at one time (and note that the other countries including France also believed Saddam had WMD). So how did Bush lie?

Unfortunately, the average Double-Latte Liberal doesn't question their own news media in which 90% of journalists are Democrytes. If the media spoon-feeds them some tripe about Bush lying, they'll take it at face value like automatons. The irony of this is that the Democrats take pride in their ability to scrutinize the status quo, but the status quo is their liberal media.

3) Tax Reform: As a lame duck President, Bush has a good chance of pushing through major tax reform. Let's hope so.

4) In 2008, it would be great to see Condoleeza Rice against the Hildebeast. This will come after Condi replaces Powell in the more high-profile role as Sec of State in the second term and shines like a star in international negotiations.

Condi Rice is superbly qualified to be President. In addition to her excellent qualifications, the conservatives would not only have a woman candidate, but a black and also a minority. This would be a true Trojan horse that would appeal to minorities whose vote is more influenced by the skin color of a candidate than the "content of their character" (and in that sense they're indeed racist to the core).

Anyhow, thankfully the election is over and we can get back to the business of killing people and stealing oil, which is what the world thinks we like to do (add sarcasm in case you didn't notice).

I doubt it. It'll only make it more entrenched.

The step-by-step way of getting it done is to first require the government, in its statements it mails out to SS "contributors", to state exactly how much of their "contributions" goes to their own accounts, and how much is being used for other people's accounts and for other purposes. Then they should be given the option of withdrawing competely that portion of their "contributions" that go to their own accounts, since it's their own damn business what to do with their own money.

In addition to, and building upon, the many great ideas already expressed:

1. Pack SCOTUS with as many true conservatives as possible. This will positively affect our country for at least decades, and probably forever.

2. Get a truly unambiguous Second Amendment case before that court, to affirm once and for all that the 2A is an INDIVIDUAL right.

We agree that it needs to be done away with...any reasonable method put forward towards those ends is something I can support over no plan.

Judges
FAIR Tax
Voucher System
Social Security Reform

Regarding Vouchers, I'd prefer it to be in the hands of the States but will take what we can get. If the educational system stays in the hands of the dummos, we'll be kicking ourselves 20 years down the road for not "privatizing" our educational system when we had the chance. As it is right now, I'm sending my kids to a private school for 1/2 of the cost of what it takes to send my kids to the public school, and they get a much better education. Unfortunately, I still have to pay for NOT using the public school.

I'd like to see the President be the President. So far .. I like what he's done (with some exceptions) .. and that's why I voted for him.

He's been a leader and I want him to continue. If I knew better then him then I should have run for President myself.

I think we should all just shut up and let the man we elected do his job. Will we agree with everything - hardly! - but then I didn't vote for him because he's perfect and will do everything I want. I voted for him BECAUSE I TRUST HIS JUDGEMENT.

Vouchers are the one mortal threat to the homeschooling movement. And they're a Trojan Horse. People need to understand that what government funds, it controls - period. No exceptions.

So you think it is better to leave the education system as it is? Vouchers aren't perfect, but they are a great way of creating accountability in schools, both public and private. Good schools get better, bad ones disappear. It is a great way of reducing costs. And let's face it, no one is going to be able to scrap the current school system completely. It is politically impossible. So either we come up with a better solution that what we have now, or we keep paying into a money pit which in turn brainwashes the masses.

Homeschool parents and many private school parents are doing the honorable thing by making the sacrifice for their kids. On the other hand, the rest of America puts their kids into a brain-washing institution. Something has to be done.

I certainly believe that anyone who wishes to homeschool their kids should have that ability. Vouchers would never interfere with that. However, by not accepting voucher funds, homeschoolers would likely not benefit directly from reduced costs. But, homeschoolers would be no worse off than they are now.

Currently, the States pay the Federal government certain funds for schooling. As long as the States live up to certain expectations in other areas (highway building/maintenance, etc.), the government rebates schooling funds to the States. As you would agree, this is an obsurd way of funding education and is a waste of your money and mine. Something has to be done. Do you have any better suggestions?

I agree wholeheartedly with the US kicking the UN to the curb. We need these ingrates out of here.
As far as tax cuts go,i'd like to see that as well.
Michael MOO needs to have the crap sued out of him by the people he had in his movie that never wanted to be in it,and someone should really be doing some major digging to get the goods on him-not DemoRat style, but with facts that can be backed up.It's not dirty pool,or revenge-just tit for tat,and that's only fair.He needs a dose of his own medicine so he can see how it feels to be vilified and harangued by the public.

I defintiely agree that the educational system needs an overhaul.Your point is excellent. Vouchers would be a good idea, and also some type of incentive program for schools that perform well.Teachers'unions (and I know i'll catch hell for this) should put a program in place that rewards good teachers (ones that really care enough about the kids they teach to go that extra mile with them) and penalizes others.Better yet....NO TEACHERS' UNION.(OOOps, I done it that time!)

And let's face it, no one is going to be able to scrap the current school system completely.

But we can get the federal government out of it if we start pushing hard in that direction. It was the Republican Party platform as recently as 1996, and it can just as easily be again, as long as it's made an issue.

I certainly believe that anyone who wishes to homeschool their kids should have that ability. Vouchers would never interfere with that. However, by not accepting voucher funds, homeschoolers would likely not benefit directly from reduced costs. But, homeschoolers would be no worse off than they are now.

It won't affect individual homeschoolers directly, but it will most certainly sap energy from the homeschooling movement. And right now, it needs all the energy and promotion it can get.

With vouchers, you open a door to government control of private and religious schools that will be exceedingly difficult to close. They can end up making the problem substantially worse. Just look at what federal aid has done to the independence of private colleges and universities. Especially considering that "federal aid", for many legal purposes, can be defined as the presence of a single student receiving student aid.
