While I am not getting all broken up about the guy's death, I agree (somebody who thinks politics is so important they would kill themselves has something seriously wrong with them). There are some things you may think, but you don't post on a forum.
No doubt the DUers are seizing on the comment in multiple threads as we speak to show how "uncaring" the right is.

Mr. Veal should have waited. Edwards said cord injuries would be healed if Kerry was elected because of federally funded embryonic stem cell research. He had several options. ONe...Hope help was on the way....Two. Wait for stem cell funding increases...Three..Ask Edwards to channel some type of healing from and embryo inutero...Four...Just blow your f'n brains out. We all have choices to make. I wouldn't want to impose my belief system on Mr. Veal. His truth is just as valid as your truth. He never got in touch with his feminine side. Or some other new age B.S. Sign off..I'm rambling.

I'm not suggesting anything here, but just curious. What is the level of at which an electric shock is lethal? Also, what's the maximum number of Prozac pills one can safely take?

I actually agree with you that this is tragic. There are some lessons to learn. But I think we all feel badly this man did this, but many of the comments are simply a way to deal with such a tragic, senseless response to the election. He obviously was not mentally in touch with reality. But prayers at this point for him are useless. We should extend out prayers and lift up his family.

Very sad. May he find peace.

I posted this on another message board, with a link to the Fox News article and a link back to this thread (which has now been duplicated 3 times), and got the following reply from a user with the handle "psyph3r": WOW, what a good way to look at athis situation. A site that is the republican's right hand propaganda machine, and another that seems to have a lot of those that watch fox news. i would like a look at the incident by npr or some reputable journalistic source. I knew someone would kill themselves over this election. Somehow i knew that bush had pissed off and hurt soo many people that someone would do something this rash. A very nice site to do on though. he still should not have done it. there are many ways that he could have done something. But this will be a huge wake up call. someone willing to kill themselves over an election is what scares me about this next four years. I can't wait to see all of our jobs over seas in the countries that we take over, and our debt up to 14 trillion dollars.... i forsee a large colapse. History will not be kind to bush, and i think he knows that. It really hasn't taken long at all for the lefties to start spinning this against Bush. And, though I fear to set foot there myself, I'm hearing that DU is doing the same thing. It was sad and pathetic enough for this guy to off himself, but to use it as a political tool is worse than words can describe.

"I wonder how he likes knowing that he left this life and a country run by George W. Bush for an eternity run by Lucifer."
Yeah, it sounds a lot worse there... Good one!

"Veal worked in a computer lab at the University of Georgia and was planning to marry, friends said Saturday."
Hold the phone! FOX News reporting the man was to be married. Since no suicide note was found, how can we be sure he didn't kill himself due to an upcoming, highly stressful event such as marriage? The media may be trying to spinning this suicide as something political, when it very well could have been a personal problem.

While upcoming marriage is ample motivation for suicide < /partial sarcasm >, the real problem with that idea is his chosen location. That's what'll make this into a political scandal, because your average premarital suicide does not take place at Ground Zero.

i thought it was spot-on. it's a joke. j-o-k-e. sarcasm. dark humor.
let's not take ourselves too seriously all the time.
on the other hand, how to rid this the country of the left wing vermin is an issue.

Thanks, for the encouragement. Life is too precious to end. Every day is a gift from God and every day brings new opportunities. I feel sorry for those who would rather end life than see what life still has to offer. Bad times end, no life is without them, if we learn from these times nothing can overcome us. Thanks, and God Bless.
