Voter fraud uncovered in New Mexico
Washington Times ^

Washington, DC, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Observers watching the counting of New Mexico's 2004 provisional and absentee ballots have uncovered evidence of voter fraud, Opinion Journal said Tuesday.

O.J. political diarist John Fund said the Bernalillo County clerk "told media outlets that observers had discovered instances of voter fraud" during the attempt to qualify 18,000 provisional and absentee ballots cast in last week's presidential election.

"In counting the first 5,000 provisional ballots," Fund reported, "observers turned up 53 instances of individuals voting more than once. They also found four voters who were dead and dozens of felons attempting to vote. In two cases, the same individual tried to vote three times: early, absentee and on Election Day."

The article does mention that dozens of the invalid ballots were cast by Felons and well we all know which party they lean towards.

You never know. There are people on both sides willing to break the law to get their man in. However, it is much more likely that they are Kerry voters.

New Mexico Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron asked the state supreme court Monday to overturn a lower court ruling allowing Republican observers into the polls in Sandoval and Dona Ana counties. Vigil-Giron, a Democrat and elected official, is also seeking permission to evict the observers the Bernalillo County clerk allowed in to watch the counting, contending that New Mexico law does not provide for observers to be part of the review process.

Get rid of the witnesses.

Three guesses which candidate got the bogus votes.

Count Wisconsin, too - tons of fraud, lots of disenfranchisement activities by the DemoncRATs, slashing tires of the fleet of RNC GOTV vehicles, etc.. If Wisconsin went Bush (only 5K votes needed) then Ohio wouldn't even be necessary (take that libs!)

93,000 provisional ballots in Ohio were thrown out 'cause they were considered worthless and actually not worth the paper they were written on.

Looks like NM appears to be another bunch of cheaten rats in several counties. Hope the Republicans continue to work to put a stop to the rats trying to steal that state from Bush.

Richardson is this your work in trying to steal NM for the rats?

I heard this on our Albuquerque TV station last night. They have called in the NM state police to handle the investigation on the suspected fraudulent ballots. I can assure you there are MANY more of them that they didn't catch. Dirty politics in NM are nothing new.

Also from the article is the following; apparently those NM democrats are a slick bunch.

The issue is not likely to die a quiet death. New Mexico

"I suppose we are talking about Kerry ballots are we not?"

Well, they did say 'felons tried to vote' didn't they?

Nobody should get their scivvies in a wad over this. We are talking about 100 or so invalid provisional ballots. This is typical and does not come close to signaling systematic voter fraud. At best we might have one or two over-zealous partisan precinct captains -- nothing more. To get the proper context on this story consider the source: O.J. political diarist John Fund. Hmmm, maybe his career is on the rocks and he's trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. BTW - The whole reason you have provisional ballots is because the voter in question wasn't properly registered. Rather than turn people away at the polls or argue about whether their registration is correct, you give them provisional ballots and then sort them out later. Bottom line: The system is working and this story sounds more like baiting for personal engrandizement rather than actual news. dung.

What state are you from? You would need to contact the Elections Division in your state, most have an on-line reporting form.

Well, the article says nothing about which side the fraud was helping, so I guess we can draw our own conclusions based on the normal liberal bias to the media, eh?

Not necessarily. A Dem elected official is trying to get Republican observers tossed out from the counting.

Vigil-Giron, a Democrat and elected official, is also seeking permission to evict the observers the Bernalillo County clerk allowed in to watch the counting,

It states earlier in the article that it's Republicans she's trying to kick out.

These two people should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It might even be the same person -- LOL.

I understand that Bill Richardson has national aspirations in 2008/2012. I suspect he is just honing his skills while he waits for the Hispanic vote to mature.
