Laura Bush: The Leader of America's Desperate Housewives
The Simon ^ | November 8, 2004 | Colin Lingle

Posted on 11/09/2004 10:57:46 PM PST by ConservativeStatement

So Karl Rove, in what must surely be the greatest magic trick of all time, did indeed pull four million evangelicals out of his hat. As of Wednesday morning, we’re a nation whose values are pure, strong, and beyond reproach. The sanctity of marriage has been preserved. George and Laura are a New American Gothic, Ozzie and Harriet in a Hummer. And you can bet they approve this message.

The votes are still being counted (or, you know… not) and neo-conservatives are gleefully drawing up plans for the new American theocracy. John Kerry is, um, “relaxing” in his Boston home. And Americans – fresh from schooling the liberal elite in the topic of “moral values” – they’re settling down in front the tube and turning on… Desperate Housewives?

Much as the liberals and the press would like that to be true, the numbers just don't add up; evangelicals voted in the same numbers they did in 2000.

Bush won and got that big number by increasing his voters across the board; even the DLC says Bush gained votes in every single category except high school dropouts and post-graduate school voters.

Ever think that the people watching Desperate are millions of frustrated males living out vicariously via TV their sexual fantasy that their Kerry style loserdom prevent them from achieving in real life?

Guy should rename himself the Simpleton rather then The Simon.

Yeah, theocracy, blah blah...

Do these people actually think we give a damn about what they believe? We have our own lives to worry about, we're not wasting time trying to force them to believe anything. As with the crybabies who are talking about leaving the country, the message is very simple: WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK!

They'll also have some backpeddling to do when the draft never gets reinstated.

"and for all these reasons...her truth ,her beauty, giving away millions of dollars. Theresa had to be stopped." Of all the delusional comments made this week by the DumbRats, this one really has to be the worst,I don't even think that the tin foil people at DU will swallow that one.

"Teresa, on the other hand, struck men of a certain generation – okay, let’s face it, several generations – as an exquisitely appealing figure.....(Mrs. Heinz Kerry, are you trying to seduce me?)"

PLEASE! What a dog.

Of course, for all these reasons – her truth, her beauty, her intention to continue giving away hundreds of millions of dollars of her own money – Teresa Kerry had to be stopped.

Oh Lord, let the Kool Aid drinking delusions continue... you can't beat it for entertainment, and it just makes things look even better for 2006 and beyond.

I haven't read the Newsweek article yet but a local radio personality mentioned Mama T. kept pictures of her deceased husband and the junior-Senator-from-Massachusetts next to each other in her home?

Good grief; it's worse than I thought. Somebody pass them the hemlock.

She has a HUGE oil portrait of John Heinz hanging over her fireplace in the living room; and until he decided to run for POTUS, when she said "my husband" she MEANT Heinz.

If I recall the article correctly, she actually only had a picture of deceased husband displayed until somebody from the campaign pointed out the awkwardness of the situation.

Laura Bush is just SO much more than Teresa Heinz. They really just don't get it. America's women do.

They are setting the ground work to attack the evangelicals just like they did during Clinton's term in office
