Sports should have more fighting. All this gentleman athlete nonsense never existed. In competition, sometimes fights break out, especially when it is a really intense game.

Well, no. Artest went to the sidelines, got attacked by THE FANS and then retaliated.
That said, I can't stand him. He does not fit in the classy Pacers franchise.
We started downhill several years ago when they traded Mark Jackson for that druggie Jalen Rose.

Yeah I agree and equally important is find "the Fan" that
lobbed that drink. Fine him and ban him from any future games at the palace.

I may consider taking my kids to another --- game.

Not me, I have witnessed too many incidents of spontaneous mob violence by so called sports fans that I prefer to do my spectating in the comfort of my own home.

"I prefer to do my spectating in the comfort of my own home."

If I was thatfan in the third row who Artest attacked, I'd be suing big time.

If you kicked out all the goons there would not be anyone left to put on a game.

The NBA, NFL and to a lesser extent Baseball seem like scenes stolen from the Burt Renolds movie "Longest Yard".

Most of the players look and act like they have a long criminal record.

Nice. Have you even ever been here?

I might say the same thing about a state that brought us the Ramseys and Columbine.

A$$.

Why don't you try again? (this time perhaps hitting the mark if you're gonna try tit-for-tat). Had I just wanted to try & highlight crime, I would have pointed to Indianapolis' highly unusual high rape rate. But I wasn't focusing on generic or even sensationalistic crime.

Instead I was focusing on the sANCTIONED showcases by the Indiana cultural elite--namely those warmly embraced by your collegiate upper etchelon & the alumni that also supported the likes of Bobby Knight & Alfred Kinsey.

There is a big difference between the Indianapolis authorities & the Colorado authorities treating rape as rape & murder as murder vs. the Indiana folks who treated a coach being abusive of his players as tolerable & a so-called researcher who linked up w/pedophiles who would abuse babies & small boys 24/7 & then have a "prestigious" university embrace it.

I guess if you don't know the difference, that provides even further commentary on the regional culture you live in.

As for the current case, there ya have it yet again. The Pacers' administration whining over "too severe" of an NBA disciplinary matter [too many suspended games, sniff, sniff] when had what occurred in any other setting, those haymaker-happy guests of Michigan would have been posting bail.

So, once again, instead of fessing up & showing the nation & our young people responsibility & accountability, the Pacers tacitly try to reduce the consequences of their actions. Hence, they partially sanction their sin...

You have the same elitist mentality (holier than thou) that the liberals do. Indiana is not the only state with a collegiate upper "echelon" (you might try spell-check if you're going to sit on your high horse). And while my rebuttal may not have been exactly "tit-for-tat", You still show yourself to be an elitist a$$ who tosses out comments without knowing a single thing about this state, other than what you have found on the Internet to back up your skewed opinions.

And as to your other comment about Indy's unusually high rape rate - wherever you pulled that out of - Colorado's crime rate is only marginally less than that of Indiana (334 vs 349 per 100,000). Additionally, Denver Colorado's rape rate is HIGHER than that of Indiana. So - other than proving the type of person you are, you have also proven yourself to be a pretty lame researcher.

Put that in your bong and smoke it.

Correction: Denver's rate of incidence for rape is higher than that of Indianapolis, not Indiana.

Just wanted to keep it "tit for tat".
