President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.
No, this is probably a first. I'm truly amazed. If we had a decent press, this would be all over the news right now.

Very much so. And I'm sure that the incident will not be simply dropped. Someone better have a very sore ass after this visit is over, and I don't think it will be the SS agent.
That being said, the President's reaction would be the LAST thing any potential evildoers would have expected. If there had been a plan, he foiled it himself by taking aggressive action.
To be honest, I feel President Bush is clearly in extra need of prayer after this election.
There are many who are livid with his win.....May God protect him.

I thought he went to China by himself, and then came home early partly to be back wtih her.
Remember in all the pictures she was either right there by him, or within arms' length away? Even when it was a picture of just him with a foreign leader, she was RIGHT THERE close. Her arm was even in some of the pics. of just the Pres. and another leader.

I'm a bit ticked that the President had to do this .. there was no need for this to happen and it gives a bad impression on the Chilean Government and their security officials
Galena, there were communist protests scheduled for there, against Bush.
Yes, I agree with all of you, that we are blessed in the President we now have, I too consider President Bush to be a man, a real one.
But, I am not smiling.
What a perfect opportunity to cut the President out of the crowd, and kill him. He stepped out of the group.
Keep your eyes open, I am finding threats against President Bush in some mighty strange places.
