"Unfit For Command" Author Considers Challenging Kerry in Senate Race
NEWSMAX.COM ^ | 11/29/2004 | Newsmax

John Kerry's nightmarish challenge by his Swift Boat veterans and their allies may not be over.

NewsMax recently chatted with Jerry Corsi, the co-author with Swiftee John O'Neill of "Unfit for Command" – the runaway New York Times best seller that torpedoed Kerry's presidential campaign.

Attending a conference in the suburbs of Washington recently, Corsi let it be known that he is actively considering a run against Sen. Kerry when his term is up.

Corsi is not a Massachusetts native, but says he has already scouted for property to declare his residence there.

He appeared excited about the challenge. Federal law allows him to declare his candidacy at any time and open up a full fusillade against the Senate's most liberal member.

Corsi thinks his criticisms of Kerry will be well received in the state that elected Republican Mitt Romney. Even Bush fared better in Massachusetts in 2004 against its home state candidate than he did against Gore in 2000.

Corsi also notes that his Italian-Irish ancestry will give him an edge in a state given to ethnic voting. Kerry is neither Irish nor Italian, Corsi notes.

As word has circulated about a possible candidacy, Corsi says he has been flooded with e-mails of support.

Corsi said he has read news reports that Kerry is considering a lawsuit against him, O'Neill and the Swift Boat Vets.

Presumably the suit would be for defamation. The New York Post's Page Six quoted a top aide to Kerry saying the senator would need to file such a suit if he has any prayer of making a presidential bid in 2008. Incredibly, Kerry is said to be considering such a run.

Corsi said he and O'Neill have discussed the possibility of the lawsuit, and both said they might offer to pay Kerry for the FedEx charges to serve them with any court papers.

"Quote me: Bring it on!" Corsi said with a chuckle.

Zell Miller, Joe Lieberman and a few others realize their party has been hijacked. Those in leadership positions in the Democrat party, those having seniority, would fill a wing in a federal prison were they ever prosecuted and tried for past misdeeds. Instead, the Dems have become a "mutual admiration society". Promoting and awarding the most corrupt.

The Republicans toss out members for minor indiscretions.

This is the "Imbalance of Power" (politically) we face.

Glad to meet you, Tech.Sgt.

"Do you think he will put a muzzle on Terry Kerry if the fecal matter hits the rotary oscillating device?"

I expect that there are more skeletons in the Traitor's closet. We all know that he lied about his medals and there are definite questions about his discharge. Not to mention his activities with the Viet Nam Veterans Against the War.

Bottom line, the Traitor has more baggage than Delta Airlines!

The point would be to remind the Dims once again that John Fraud Kerry has NEVER SIGNED THE SF-180 and that NOTHING the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth said about him has been refuted.

They still think Fraud was robbed.

Romney got 41% against Teddy Kennedy in 1994 and was elected Governor by a majority in 1992. Maybe 2006 will be a turning point.

Actually, Dr. Corsi would have an excellent chance against Mr. Kerry.

Of the several questions that a Corsi campaign could ask is..."Senator Kerry, what was the type of discharge/separation given you in 1972?". Of all the questions probing his military past, I believe that Kerry fears this one the most. It wraps up his disgraceful military conduct with his shameless mendacity with one tidy little bow.

I just love the thought of Dr. Corsi turning the Swift Boat experience into a recurring nightmare for Kerry!

If Corsi does this, I certainly hope he uses more discretion than he did when posting his comments about the Catholic Church on Free Republic.

Not that I don't think Kerry needs some competition, but could someone with a history of anti-Catholic remarks even hope to be competitive in Massachusetts?

Nice meeting you too, my friend.

I am only suprised that it took Joe and Zell so long to notice the party had veered off so far to the left they didn't recognize it anymore. Could be a case of, can't see the forest for the trees.

Kerry doesn't have the nutsack to file suit. ONeill could then thru discovery open the military files which Kerry has been so careful to keep under wraps. He would loose his case and what respectibility may residually be found. No he will not dare take that chance. But like Mr.Oneill said ,I hope he does sue.

Zel is gone and Lieberman is standing against the entrechment of 44 other senators who do no see this wisdom of the truth. They have poked sticks at the lions thru the bars and now the gate has swung open. The one thing that might ressurrect the Dem party is if the economy spirals into freefall. I think it might.

Who ever said Jerry Corsi was a conservative Republican? If he has any sense at all, he will adopt the cover of being an only slight left-of-center Democrat, and run on that basis. After all, we have the example of Jon Corzine of New Jersey, and Herbert Kohl of Wisconsin, who both declared against their background as millionaires to find a place in the Democrat hierarchy.
