Washington State Recount - Governor's Race

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Less than a day after Democrat Christine Gregoire vowed to concede the race for governor unless Democrats come up with enough money for a full rather than partial vote recount, her party said it had the money to do so.

State Democrats scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m. Friday when they were expected to announce that they had commitments for the $750,000 downpayment to pay for a hand recount of all the votes across the state in a governor's race that is closer than any in state history.

King County already "enhanced" its ballots during the MACHINE recount, and the Democrats still fell 42 votes short.

Presumably Rossi ought to gain votes now, because the OTHER counties will now get to find more votes, and outside of King county most votes were for Rossi, while King county has already found all the extra ballots they could and "enhanced" them for the machines.

Of course, if Democrats are more likely to fail to follow ballot-marking instructions than Republicans, Gregoire may still gain votes from a hand count even in counties that went for Rossi.

I hope you're right, but I'm not as sure...

I guess Dino is going to have to win the best 4 of 7 recounts, like the World Series. The socialist here in Seattle are probably mailing out new ballots to locals now to get them in quickly. I put nothing past these communists. They will not stop till they get one more vote than Dino. That is what this fraud is all about. We have a new republican governor and AG, and the SecState is a republican. Just stunning in this socialist hell hole. Thank God for Eastern WA coming through over there and Pierce and Snohomish Counties going for Rossi. That helped off set most of communist Sodom on the Sound (Seattle).

I heard on Seattle's Conservative Talk Radio KVI, on the John Carlson show, that the Democrats had a large number (I am not certain how many) unsigned absentee ballots. By state law, if these ballots are unsigned, they get rejected as a bad ballot. What the Democrats did was select only the Gregoire ballots during the recount, take them through the precincts and knocked on doors to find Democrat voters to sign them. The Democrats said that these bad ballots had been rehabilitated into good ballots which were then used for the recount. When the Republicans heard this was happening, they had to work with very little time to "rehabilitate" the ballots for Rossi. However with 57% of these "bad ballots" going for Gregoire (because of the very liberal King County), she was able to pick up hundreds of additional votes. This closed the margin to 42 votes. Even so, Rossi won the recount.

Now, the Gregoire people hopes to use the same technique for other rejected ballots in other pro-Gregoire counties.

The only way Rossi will win is if the east siders wait until the last minute to finish their hand recounts and "find" as many additional votes for Rossi as the crooks on the west side will find for Gregoire. 42 votes is far less than the margin of error in a hand recount, and most of the recounters are Demoncrats. This sucks.

So let me get this straight. The Republican has won several accurate machine recounts, but those will all be discounted if just one innaccurate and biased human recount gives the democrat a single vote victory? So basically, the democrats recount and recount until their candidate picks up enough manufactured votes to win one, and then that is considered the valid count?

Are Washington vote counts only considered "fair and accurate" if the liberal candidate wins?

Yes. That unwritten law applies in all states.
