ROFL. My family knows both of them and can't stand either of them. I had a poli sci prof whose claim to fame was he worked on McGovern's campaign. When he was telling this on the first day of class, I broke into uncontrollable laughter and exclaimed "You're proud of THAT, he couldn't carry his own state!".
Surprisingly, we got along fairly well after that. :)

Well, everyone needs some bragging point.
I suppose the reason so many Dems choose the McGovern campaign-despite their candidate's disastrous performance at the polls-is because it marks the year that the hard core, irredentist left truly subsumed the Dem. Party apparatus.
I can't imagine a similar candidate from the rational, old-school, Harry Truman wing, e.g. Evan Bayh or Ben Nelson, mounting a similar insurgency within the Democratic ranks, today.

Happy Freepin Birthday Tom, Now go forward, with your wife, and lease the U.S. government planes, that can be bought outright, at half the cost. And while your at it, continue to do everything you can to keep our soldiers, from voting on base.I better stop now,I am starting to think he doesn't have our nations best interest at heart! And that makes me real mad!

Let's just hope that "The Hammer" is able to blackball that leech on the U.S. taxpayer, i.e. Daschle's wife.
If the GOP can't accomplish something as simple as that, I don't know what the point is.

Look at it this way tiny tommie, at least you won't have to be "concerned" anymore and you can live in your real house in DC.
