Although it might be tempting to say that the European reality show 'Private Stars' may be popping up in the United States, the show's adult based premise would create an unfortunate double entendre.
Still US broadcasters are apparently circling the wildly popular format in Europe.
Airing in the UK on the Bravo satellite network, 'Private Stars' has become one of the years biggest and most controversial breakout hits across the pond.
The show features five normal male contestants from the United States, the Netherlands, South Africa and the UK.
The men live in a house and compete in weekly challenges for a chance to become an 'adult star' in the Private Media Group empire.
The series also features five female stars from the Private Media family who serve as judges.
Thank you, useful to know..
Hmm, it may be that Bravo just bought the rights to it.
I sure loved that series. While it was on, it was my favorite TV program.
Of course, The Shield, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 24, The Sopranos and Monk aren't on yet.
And Monk, of course, fired Bitty Schram (Sharona) so I doubt if I'll be watching it again...she was such an integral part of the show.
