Pray for President Bush - Day 1551
Pray for President Bush ^ | 12/16/04 | kayak

Romans 8:31-39

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
       "For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Heavenly Father,

How glorious is Your Word and how comforting it is to those who love You! In a world that makes no sense to us at times, when it seems that everything is backwards and upside down, when those things that are good and true and pure are called evil and that which is evil is sought after, we find solace and hope in the scriptures and in the very Word Himself, who came down to us at Christmas. Father, we are grateful for Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace and yet we fail You daily. Mold our lives according to Your will, O Lord, that we may better serve You. Accept the praise of Your humble servants who acknowledge You as our Creator, the Mighty One, the Lord God Jehovah!

Lord, even as we still bask in delight over the re-election of President Bush, we realize that he is still under tremendous pressures and carries burdens that few in history have ever borne. His enemies, both foreign and domestic, still seek to bring him down. We pray for strength for him, and the courage of his convictions, and wisdom that can come only from You, and the peace that passes understanding. Guide his walk each day and let his words and deeds be inspired by You. Keep watch over him and his family that they may remain safe from all harm. As he forms his new administration, lead him to do Your bidding and bless those new cabinet members and advisors who will soon be taking on new tasks.

Our hearts go out to those in our military, especially at this time of year. Many are engaged in fierce battles even at this moment and we pray for their safety. Give them boldness and cunning in their fight against the forces of darkness who wish to dominate the world. Hold their families near to Your heart that they may know Your comfort.

Lord, in our distress at those who would remove Your very Name from public places and even from the celebration of the birth of the Your precious Son, we need reminding that nothing can separate us from Your love. We claim Your promise that if You are for us we can prevail against those who would thwart us. Encourage Your remnant to speak up and speak out rather than remaining silent while others try to deny us the very right to speak Your Name. Help us to reclaim our nation so that once again it will be that shining city on the hill, shining forth for all to see and know that You are God. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS

Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, love divine;
Love was born at Christmas,
Star and angels gave the sign.

Worship we the Godhead,
Love incarnate, love divine;
Worship we our Jesus:
But wherewith for sacred sign?

Love shall be our token,
Love shall be yours and love be mine,
Love to God and to all men,
Love for plea and gift and sign.

Father, we are involved in a spiritual warfare in this country that most of us have never seen the likes of. We pray Your guidance and protection for President Bush as he leads us.

We know that he is the object of deep hatred from those who do NOT know You, and we pray, not only for Your blanket of protection over him from evil, but pray also for those who hate him so deeply that they are being eaten up by it.

WE pray that his enemies, foreign and domestic might find the light of Christ in their lives, and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus........not the baby in the manger, but the King who died on a cross and sacrificed His life for them........and for us.

In the strong and mighty name of Jesus, who is the Christ, we pray, AMEN!

Thanks for the post. Romans 8:31-39 are my favorite verses. It is just so awesome to remember that God is in control of everything all of the time.

Our Merciful Savior,

How Great You are, O Lord our God, our Strong King, in Whom we Find Refuge during Life's Fiery Trials. You Sustain us Daily with Your Heavenly Mercies, Bestowing upon us Grace upon Grace, as You Love us and Take us from Glory to Glory. You Forgave us of our Vilest Sins, Seating us in the Heavenlies with Christ, Making us Radiant Trophies of Your Eternal Sovereign Grace. Wonderous is Your Love toward us, our Dearest Father, Most Powerful Deliverer! You Adopted us as Your Own children, Granting that we should be Joint Heirs with the Son of Your Love, even Promising us we could one day Sit with you upon Your Throne. That thought Takes our very Breath away, and yet, You Grant this, Solely on the Basis of Your Gracious, Everlasting Love! Oh, our King Jesus! What Awesome Things, what Wonderous things You Accomplished for our sakes when You Died upon the Cross! We Glorify You, Great King, and Offer our Highest Praise to our Holy One Who Translated us from Darkness to Brightest Light!

We Lift our brother-President to You, O Mighty King, Pleading that You would be His Shield in this Spiritual Warfare that Grips our Nation. Our brother's enemies are Many, Lord God, and their satanic hatred Burns Constantly, as they Writhe and Chaff, tormented beneath the Righteousness of his Moral and Just Presidency. They would be Upon him in an Instant, my God, but Thou art Standing between them and Thy Servant, an Omnipotent and Impenetrable Barrier to the Dark Deeds they would Do. Glory to You, O Lord God of Hosts! All Hell Burns around him, but, You Keep him Alive! His enemies Wail, Gnashing their teeth at His Existance, but the People of God are Joyous; You have Given us Rest! We Rejoice at Your Godly servant, O Merciful Master, our souls at Peace with our dear brother in the Faith.

O Lover of souls, we Do Pray for those same sons of Darkness, that the Light of Your Glorious Gospel would Shine Out unto them, Ushering some of them into Your Kingdom of Life and Love. We also Interceed for our beloved Military, Great King, Imploring Thy Constant and Abiding Hand of Mercy to Cover them, Rendering them Invincible under the Care of our Mighty Warrior. Grant our Nation Revival, Sovereign Lord, and Send the Nation of Israel Your Salvation and Your Peace. We Pray, Loving Father, for the Blessing of Your children here, that Your Vigilant Care and Protection would Rest over each one. Fill every Grace-Cup to the Brim, our Father God, and we Thank You for hearing our Prayers to our King. In our Dear Christ's Name, we make our Requests, and we Praise You, amen.

AMEN KAYAK AND AMEN ALL!
GRACE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU BRETHREN!

Ps 56:1 To the Chief Musician. Set to "The Silent Dove in Distant Lands." A Michtam of David when the Philistines captured him in Gath. Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me.
2 My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High.
3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
5 All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
8 You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?
9 When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.
10 In God (I will praise His word), In the LORD (I will praise His word),
11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12 Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You,
13 For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living?
(NKJV)

Dear Lord,
Your saints thankyou for this very moment that we can gather to send our prayers and supplications to the throne room of Your grace.
we pray for all of Your saints and especially for our dear brother george walker bush, his family and administration.
we pray for our brave fighters in the battle for liberty and against evil.

"As
the breastplate containing the names of the tribes of Israel was the most
brilliant ornament worn by the high priest, so the names of Christ's elect
were his most precious jewels, and glittered on his heart. We may often
forget to meditate upon the perfections of our Lord, but he never ceases
to remember us."

"I remember thee."
- Jeremiah 2:2

Let us note that Christ delights to think upon his Church, and to look
upon her beauty. As the bird returneth often to its nest, and as the
wayfarer hastens to his home, so doth the mind continually pursue the
object of its choice. We cannot look too often upon that face which we
love; we desire always to have our precious things in our sight. It is
even so with our Lord Jesus. From all eternity "His delights were with the
sons of men"; his thoughts rolled onward to the time when his elect should
be born into the world; he viewed them in the mirror of his foreknowledge.
"In thy book," he says, "all my members were written, which in continuance
were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them" (Ps. 139:16). When the
world was set upon its pillars, he was there, and he set the bounds of the
people according to the number of the children of Israel. Many a time
before his incarnation, he descended to this lower earth in the similitude
of a man; on the plains of Mamre (Gen. 18), by the brook of Jabbok (Gen.
32:24-30), beneath the walls of Jericho (Jos. 5:13), and in the fiery
furnace of Babylon (Dan. 3:19, 25), the Son of Man visited his people.
Because his soul delighted in them, he could not rest away from them, for
his heart longed after them. Never were they absent from his heart, for he
had written their names upon his hands, and graven them upon his side. As
the breastplate containing the names of the tribes of Israel was the most
brilliant ornament worn by the high priest, so the names of Christ's elect
were his most precious jewels, and glittered on his heart. We may often
forget to meditate upon the perfections of our Lord, but he never ceases
to remember us.
Let us chide ourselves for past forgetfulness, and pray for grace ever to
bear him in fondest remembrance.
Lord, paint upon the eyeballs of my soul the image of thy Son.

"May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, glorified, loved and preserved throughout the world now and forever Amen."

Dear Jesus, within days we will be celebrating Your birth. The many countless years that have gone by we still look forward with awe at this moment. You came to deliver us from sin, but for those who have never heard of You, may they, this coming weeks make Your acquaintence, to know You and to love You above all else. We continue to pray for our President Bush and his new Cabinet members. To wish them courage and patience as well as our legislators in Congress......In Jesus' name we pray

Father God, we are grateful for the grace You have shown us thus far and for building our faith through your Word and the experience of Your love that You will continue to do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ask or think.

We commit to awakening each day with the expectation of seeing Your salvation in the land of the living. This is the day that the Lord has made. We will be glad and rejoice in it.
