Now THAT is one of the most ingeniously produced pic's I have ever seen at FR! : )

I recall when I had to fly to WKRP land to repair issues on an aircraft which I soon found to be chartered by MM.

It was an impressive aircraft (a Gulfstream) and was my aircraft to return home in after repairs were made.

I did find it however to be uncomfortable to sit in the VIP seat for it sagged so much I felt like I was sitting on the floor!

German editor weibchen?

That one flew over my head.

The only German I know is: Ein volk! Ein reich! Seig heil!

It's my greeting to eco-fascists at public meetings.

Michael Moore: Hillary a Star in 2008

They could be a binary star system.......

Two giant balls of gas held together by gravity and orbiting each other.

"Pollsters (probably Zogby-inspired) already show her beating Jeb, Frist, etc., by 10%, although 20% were still undecided. "

What polls are those?
We have the Fox News poll showing Gulliani giving Hilary an ass whupping when matched against each other.
And that was even before this Clinton pardon of Marc Rich, and the Marc Rich Oil for Food Scandal involvement became an issue became an issue.
Haven't sen any polls where Hilary beats Jeb (who has declared he's not standing by the way), but I'd back Jeb against Hilary any day.
Hilary won't win a single state in the south or Midwest, plus Jed'd win Florida easily without even wasting time campaigning there.
How on earth is Hilary going to beat Jeb then, when she's only likely to win in the Northeast and the West coast??

"If she thinks that she can re-package herself as a conservative, she better think twice."

And if you think for a moment, that Republican presidential prospects can misunderestimate Hillary, think again.

Just as Bush used his political capital to BLOCK meaningful limitation on immigrant driver licenses, Hillary is moving to take the position left void.

If Bush favors illegal immigrants, over American citizens, Hillary may successfully claim that position.

And on, and on, issue by issue.

She will get "face time" on the media. Her likely opponents will be hard pressed to get noticed, for the next three years.

I am not saying she will win. She may not even get the nomination. But if she does get the nomination, she will be a strong candidate.

She will not be from Massachusettes, and she will not be a liberal (in perception).

These people usually get ONE shot. Dukakis, Mondale, Gore, Kerry were not very good.

Hillary will be better. She and Bill are smart at politics. Not the best, but good.

Bush is very good. Rove is excellent. But he may NOT be involved in 2008.

Right--Moore laid out the strategy bare here---to win they need to dupe poor, single moms. They need a populace who's poor, dumb, and dependent. That's been obvious for quite awhile.

Funny story kind of related-
Many, many moons ago a co-worker of mine tried to say Ronald Reagan was the worst thing that ever happened to his life--as if that were possible. I laughed, told him we control our own destiny and that as an outside observer it was clear to me the worst thing to ever happen to his life was his second ex-wife. He couldn't disagree...

Watch, I bet you in the few months to come the WITCH will all of sudden find religion!!

Close, she found immigration. Her new thing now is border security and tighting the borders.

She's found her one conservative issue to use.

how long till her thighness distances herself from Moore the boor.

2008, when she has her "sister soulja" moment.

Moore may even go along with it.

The ranks of people who are now freshmen in high school will become the voters of 2008. The younger age groups are the most willing to change social security (71%), which is the beginning of the dismantling of the programs Hillary and the Dems most need to keep their power base solid. Furthermore....

I don't want to make you to optimistic, but you know that in the scholastic poll of High Schoolers, kids voted Bush over Kerry right?

In 4 years, all those kids were be allowed to vote.

When Moore said that line about poor single women, this first thing I thought was, don't they already vote dem.

This seems to place right into Moore's thinking that most of america is actually liberal, and its all about getting turnout.

Sidenote: The top 10 states with the largest increase in voting turnout for 2004 from 2000, all were red states. The bottom 10 states in increase (including 2 states that had decreases) in voting from 2000 to 2004, Kerry won 7 of them (including the 2 with decreases).

The republicans couldn't invent a better representative for the democrats than Michael Moore. Sometimes I wonder if he is not a Carl Rove implant.

I fully expect McCain to be part of an '08 ticket. My questions about him are twofold--what about his health and battles with skin cancer and what about his wife's (mental) health? Are they up to the demands a real run would take?

Well, McCain will certainly run, but he faces an uphill battle in the primaries (from the likes of REAL Republicans, like me.)

As far as questions, along with health questions, what about where the man's "center" might be? Why is he so prone to side against conservatives when that might get him some big ink? And, for me, why oh why did he turn his back on and vilify his comrades-in-arms - the Swifties?

Unfortunately, I see some disquieting similarities between McCain and (ugh) Kerry.

Despite what Moore thinks, I am confident that women will choose Rice over hamhocks Rodham-given that option.

I saw the polls on Fox (which is the only thing that is ever on our tv), I think that it was Wed or Thurs with Brit Hume. I was another room, but I think that it was a Fox poll and she beat (in order shown), Jeb (he got 35%), Frist (33%), and Pataki. It didn't show her versus McCain or Rudy. In each poll, 19-20% were uncertain but she was tracking around 45% in each one. The Reps pointed out that this was primarily a name recognition poll and no one had worked at helping Americans understand who Pataki even was.

They shocked me, but they were on tv for all to see.

She's not from MA but she is from NY. She is a liberal. Another liberal northeast senator will not fly. She's no babe from IL anymore, nor the "little missus" from Arkansas. She wanted to be a New Yorker, and by golly, she is one now. BTW, she doesn't even own property ownside the NY/DC circuit.

I know--there are alot of high schoolers who will vote in four years--and many are conservative and will vote against their parents. In spite of the fact that young people seem to have a low turnout rate, I suspect that conservative young people are more committed about voting (as well as any other responsibility) than are liberal kids.

McCain is also notorious for having an uneven temper, not a quality you would want in a Commander-in-Chief.

Well... shows what MM really knows. I know maybe one or two "liberal" females who will vote for her but all my other female friends will vote against her.
