LIBERAL AT MY DINNER TABLE (vanty)
12252004 | me

Posted on 12/25/2004 6:54:14 PM PST by cyborg

How do I deal with a real Hillary Clinton sycophant in my house? I'm hiding in my bathroom and am so ashamed. I've avoiding talking so as not to start a fight.

Yes that's what I wanted to avoid. I got into a big fight one year with a relative and didn't want to repeat it especially since this was my sister's friends.

A Liberal is at your dinner table?

Forget about the small talk. Hide your silverware, quick!

Just say that you have a dinner date with Ann Coulter next week and ask the liberal if she would like to join you.

If that doesn't give her heartburn, nothing will.

"For goodness sake--get back out there! Laugh at everything she says--big hearty guffaws when she says something really stupid. Tell her how funny she is. Fall out of your chair in a fit of laughter. Invite her back again for some more laughs tomorrow."

This actually works! I moderate on a conservative chat board, and we do this to the liberal trolls that think they can hold their own with us.

Their heads eventually explode due to their true intolerance to other points of view, so if you're going to do this to your guest tonight, please pass out trash bags for your other guests to wear. Pretend you're at a Gallagher gathering (that guy who smashes watermelons for laughs.)

Report back. I wanna hear how it goes...

LOL ya know she came into the kitchen where I am now and said she just had to come back to chat with me. My mother likes to brag about me so she's now infatuated with my intelligence! Gee thanks mom! LOL

I would made the truth known to them in the strongest possible terms and refused to dine with them.

They are little more than shareholders in an abortion franchise, or Totenkopfers back from the Russian front (c 1942).

I just know this because my sister told me. I did see the pro-choice buttons on her daughter's bag. Just a time where I ignored it. I mean really... I'm glad she didn't bring up abortion.

This happens to me at work, so I know what you're saying. We have an upstart yuppie type young man in our dept., who runs his mouth constantly. He's an obnoxious, liberal Michael Moore fan, so you can imagine the garbage that comes from his mouth.

I try to be professional, and tune him out, but a few times I've voiced my opinion, which is not good in a work setting. However, the words come out of my mouth before I even realize what I'm saying.

I guess maybe I need a muzzle?...:)

I know. I wanted to avoid it, too, but the besmirching of our troops ala the "baby killers" charge harking back to Vietnam was more than I could bear.

I still regret it came to that.
