that thousands of voters had registered with the exact same address (a county government building) with hundreds listing the same apartment number (which was an office in the building)...Unbelievable!

not really...sounds like your typ. 'RAT election. ..if the 'Rats are "unsupervised." Stalin said, "Votes don't matter, Who counts them does." :/

So were each of these "homeless" photo ID'd when they were registered at an office address?

I'm shocked, SHOCKED I say, that you would ask that! You know that asking for ID would violate their "civil rights"! < /sarc >

In terms of actual numbers of voters (greatest good for the greatest number) shouldn't we apply our energies first to fix the problem of getting absentee ballots to our servicemen overseas in time for their votes to count?

Which brings up the question, how many bags of military absentee ballots were "misplaced" by postal union workers, just long enough to be invalidated?

It sounds like a situation that is better now, but depends on the state. Alabama does require the photo ID, but my son was able to use his college address and get his driver's license transfered to the dmv near his school. He needed the ID to register, after he was registered, his voters letter was all he needed.

And they took his signature to compare if the vote was questioned in a close race later.

Yeah, shocked is the right word for it, why did we ever let voting get so loosy goosy. We had to know there would be close elections sometime.

Conservatives can blame themselves for a lot of this, including letting commies teach our kids. I hope we continue this election reform and clean up the mess in the next two years.

In Florida there was a backlash b/c Dems were whining about not being allowed to promulgate fraud. Washington is a bit different.

Rossi should take lesson on how to act from John Thune. Contest the election, but do it in a classy way, not by demanding a re-vote - that would set a terrible precedent.

Right now Rossi is in a fantastic position and the mood is ripe for him to upset Maria Cantwell in '06. He doesn't want to do too much that would give off an appearance of sour grapes.

Here we go again..

WRONG Due to the heavily concentrated dens of RATS nesting in our urban areas, WA is generally run/overrun by them. The only reason we're having this discussion is because CGore is one of the most imcopetent, hated boobs this state has ever seen, and everyone in the state agrees. The only ones who voted for her are the ultra hard core left, i.e., 1/2 the population. Moderate dems are now known as "Dinocrats" in this state, and are responsible for both getting Dino elected twice, and the fact that all the polls in this state are weighing in at between 60 - 70% in favor of a new election. This is immediately after similar polls in which 60% said Dino should not concede. We cannot win this W/O the Dinocrats, and it looks certain they will help us deliver a landslide victory for Dino in the runoff.

There is no such widespread contempt for Cantdowell. Nothing stands out about her, she's kinda like that feather Doonesbury used to represent Vice President Quayle - invisible. The MSM sure as hell isn't going to point out any defects, and the Rats, even the moderates, need a really compelling reason to discard one of there own, especially when she's made US Senator. Pity and competence won't make any more difference than trying to change the tide levels by spitting on the sidewalk in Seattle. It is interesting to note that the MSM is already preparing for this eventuality, though by slipping this;

"They said Republicans in 2008 would likely back a conservative Republican primary challenger against Reed, a moderate who supports abortion rights. Though that position puts him at odds with many Republicans, including Rossi, no candidate who openly and clearly opposes abortion rights has won statewide office in Washington in decades. in an article in this morning's Buggered News Tribune;

http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/story/4392739p-4168653c.html

Expect 2 years of bashing Rossi and not one more word from the MSM on how King County counted 3539 votes twice. The Dinocrats will figure we gave up because CGore - and the media were right all along, Cantdowell will win by 5 points easy.

Christine said: "There is no question the average person will conclude the board should have known about the deplorable conditions and put a stop to it," Gregoire said. "But even though a compelling case can be made for an absence of oversight, we concluded our current laws would not allow us to prove criminal accountability."

I have to admit not paying attention to the issue at the time. But I wonder, was she right that the laws at the time didn't make likely a successful prosecution. And have the laws been changed?

I honestly wouldn't have a clue, but then again - I believe Gregovych, as a creature of the state agencies, will always come down on their side.

IMHO, any election that involves so many and comes so close to a tie should be redone
Stands to reason.

Doubts? Lingering doubts? I've never had any doubt whatever about what has been going on in Washington state.
