McGreevy, Oprah, and the Gay Agenda...(Oprah live thread)
ABC ^ | 13 Jan 05 | gobucks

Posted on 01/13/2005 1:42:08 PM PST by gobucks

It's about halfway through Oprah's T.V. show today, where she is terrorizing millions of american wives by making them wonder if their husbands are secretly gay.

This is one of sickest episodes of Oprah yet! But, the way this show started was to talk about how N.J. Gov Jim McGreevy came out, and how his wife handled it.

Then, the kicker. At about 4:25 pm, Oprah says to one hapless dude who is spilling his guts on T.V. about how he cheated on his wife this gem: - "studies show the number one reason gays marry women is Church and Family", right?

Church, Oprah? Church, ABC? So, the MSM has no agenda?

This show is an example of why our nation is utterly a mess at the hands of these godless MSM types who shove this crap into TVs across the nation, filled w/ latch key kids. Oprah and Jerry Springer and Povich are all the same...

Oprah hangs out with mostly liberals. So, there's a good chance many of the men she knows, married or not, are switch hitters.

During the entire show, she never attacked any of the men for the harm they committed against they women they married. Instead, all the men, and women, were 'victims'. I don't normally post about her, but when she said most gays marry women b/c of the 'Church', I blew a fuse....

I was, and am, willing to respect Oprah Winfrey for her business acumen. Anyone who can get where she is from where she came from knows how to overcome adversity.

Adversity? because she is black- she is a victim. I don't call that adversity. I call that liberalism. No offense to poster, I just cannot stand Oprahs type of victimhood.

I have to say that normally I really do enjoy watching Oprah, she has some good and emotional shows, however, this was not one of them. I read this article and immediatly turned on the tv, as Oprah had barely started in MN, I saw about 2 minutes and I was disgusted..."During this show, women WILL find out that their husbands are gay.." wow...i cannot believe her, what a disappointment...

"Oprah says to one hapless dude who is spilling his guts on T.V. about how he cheated on his wife this gem: - "studies show the number one reason gays marry women is Church and Family", right?"

Seems consistent with my observations. Church and family aren't the reason they're gay, and they're not the reason they cheat on their wives, but they sure do seem to be the reason so many of them marry women. I've seen a lot of this clinically...

How is wife handled it was with large doses of Prozac. Did anyone see the way that woman looked as she stood by his side when he announced he was a gay American? My God, she was so zoned out it wasn't funny.

"I don't get Oprah's appeal..."

She's "empowered," doesn't "need" to get married, doesn't "need" to have kids, and most of all she emphasizes ANY and ALL subject matter which happens depict men as weak, lazy, foolish, liars, mutants, or....feminine.

Some some reason, this helps her audience cope with their "loser" boyfriends and husbands.

I'll take the chance here, and take your entire comment at face value.

Two questions: given that church and family aren't the reason they are gay, what in your clinical opinion ARE the common reasons they are gay?

Other than your clinical experience, do you have sources that back up your agreement w/ Oprah's statement?

"Intelligent women don't like that crap"

You're right--for the most part. But I've caught intellegent women riveted to the latest Patty Duke tear-fest, as well.

I had that thought occur to me as well. How on earth, year after year, could a 'wife' no be aware of this behavior on the part of her husband?

Maybe because she's too busy watching Oprah and Dr. Phil and Montel and Jane Pauley and Martha Stewart and a dozen ambush make-over shows to notice?

You know what is scary? maybe you are more right than anyone would wish ... I can imagine how many women would simply close their intuition, because they simply don't have the stomach to face 'the truth'.

"Given that church and family aren't the reason they are gay, what in your clinical opinion ARE the common reasons they are gay?"

The short answer is that nobody knows, and nobody is ever going to know. Determination of causality takes experimental methodology, something that is entirely unethical and impossible in this situation. All one can do is study correlations.

"Other than your clinical experience, do you have sources that back up your agreement w/ Oprah's statement?"

Not offhand. That's why I phrased it that way. However, doesn't it make sense to you, too? There's a lot of pressure in churches and families for people to get married and settle down (and refrain from "coming out" as gay). I've seen it happen time and time again.

HE WILL DO IT AGAIN.

YOU nasty "sneaky" cowardly perverted queers (nothing Gay and happy about lieing perverts) will never ever convert ALL of humanity to bid your evil ways spreading disease and vermon. You are a malignate cancer on civilization. And you stupid broads who covet and serve queerdom, you're in even dipper sh*t in the eyes of God. Don't even think you're righteous in your twisted fixation playing savior serving queer males while slighting your own female bethren. It is not your journey to serve the snake.

Oprah is a sell out. She forsake her lord and master God. She covets the likes of scientologists closet cases
John Travolta and Tom Cruise. So there you go.

I hardly ever watch Oprah, but happened to tune in today. I thought the subject was what ever woman should watch. I had a female family member contemplating marrying someone whom I thought was gay. This woman told me I was crazy....how could I suspect? Well, I worked with many gay men, and this guy had all the mannerisms, believe me....only I suspected he was, like these men, "in the closet," because of church and family. In other words, it's not accepted by many, and he was hiding it....pretending he wasn't gay. Don't get me wrong, I accept the gay lifestyle.... I have gay friends, whom I respect and love, but don't marry a female member of my family to hide it! I'm happy to say that the relationship didn't work. The last I heard, he's living with his gay brother.

"She thinks the family is obsolete"

Oprah said that because her faith in her lord and savior Jesus Christ is "obsolete" Oprah would rather suck queerdom. No skin of her reverse bigoted nose since she has no desire or idea what "family" is! She was physically raped and clearly her mind was raped of any logical process. The money has indeed corrupted her whole being.
