You are one of those people who would rather lose with your mouth fully engaged than win with your mouth shut, aren't you?
Bush presented no target, so the AWB sunsetted.
Gonzales presented no target, so he avoided being Borked.
Just because you would prefer a diatribe on "Watering the Tree of Liberty with the Blood of Tyrants" so you could get high on adrenalin doesn't make it the right thing to do.

NO, the CHL in your pocket and mine is a product of a grass roots effort that was supported by Texas congress critters like Jerry Patterson. All Bush did was sign the bill, which was a campaign promise.
Seems to me that the appropriate answer would have been for Gonzales to say he would enforce any law on the books or passed by congress. But no, he went the extra mile and made it clear he is a gun grabber wannabe by not only supporting an extension of the AWB, but adding on the crap about his brother.
