And which state is that?

She must be from that state.

That would be Nebraska, which has a unicameral legislature. For those in Rio Linda, that means "one body". All other states have the equivalent of a House of Representatives (Delegates), and a Senate. And no, she's from New York, and should be forgiven for her lack of knowledge.

Doesn't really have any meaning at all. Just a fact that Mormon women married to a polygamist do not complain about it.

I hope that the New Madrid fault shakes Memphis loose from Tennessee and it all floats down into the Gulf.

My sentiments exactly.

Hi, LL,
Yes, the state of Tennessee has senators and they are senators only in the state -- that's why they're called "state senators". The URL you have been posting is for United States Senators -- they are senators who represent a state in Washington, DC.

Two different levels of government.

Here is a link to the page of John Ford, the state senator from Tennessee:

Rampant corruption that could only be tolerated in an imploded electorate.

"You have two homes? "Well, that's unusual."

"Not necessarily," Ford shot back. "I know people who got five."

Yeah! They're called Kerry's

I wonder if the reverend Jackson will council senator Ford (like he did with i42), on keeping his johnson at home Then you don't have to worry about multiple child support payments (or getting impeached).

Don't we have a one-vote majority in the Tennessee Senate?
If so, why are we letting the Rats chair ANY committee?

If you give in to these people, this kind of thing is what you get. Garbage in, garbage out. When will we ever learn???????

Nebraska has a unicameral legislature, one house of 49 members...but they are called senators.

Every other state has a branch of the legislature which is called the senate.
