1979) The Shah of Iran is deposed by Islamic fanatics. Months later Muslims stormed the US embassy and took hostages. Carter retaliates with a handful of troops against an entire country. Result...Burning choppers of Americans in the desert.
1982) US Embassy in Beirut was bombed by Muslims. Reagan sent in Marines. In '83 their barracks were blown up, Dems whined until Reagan withdrew.
1985) Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro was seized and a 69 year old American was shot and thrown overboard. Reagan tells the Dems to shut-up, Ollie North captures the terrorists for Italy and hands them over to the Italian government who promptly releases them.
1986) West Berlin discotheque bombed killing American soldiers. Reagan smashes Libya and the French Embassy. All while winning the Cold War.
1988) Pan AM 103, blown up by Muslims.
1990) Hussein invades Kuwait, George H.W. Bush went to war the way Libs like--with our UN allies. Still the Dems complained saying he didn't finish off Hussein. Interestingly, on our way to Baghdad under G.W. Bush the Dems insisted we stop outside the city. First bashing Bush 1 for stopping short of killing Hussein, then blasting Bush 2 for actually taking him out. Mind boggling.
1993) Feb, WTC bombed, Clinton did nothing. Oct, 18 US troops killed in Somalia, Clinton pulled out.
1995) 5 killed and 35 wounded by car bomb in Saudi. Clinton did nothing.
1996) Air Force complex bombed in Saudi. Clinton sat. Same year Saddam attacks Kurds. Clinton lobs a few bombs hundreds of miles away from any of Saddam's military.
1997) Iraq threatens to shoot down US planes. Clinton does nothing.
1998) Clinton threatens to bomb Iraq but UN said no. In the same year the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania are bombed by Muslims. Clinton did nothing.
1999) The only time Clinton goes to war. However he attacks the Serbians who were trying to fight off a Muslim invasion.
2000) USS Cole bombed by Muslims. Clinton, again, did nothing.
See a pattern here? Enter George W. Bush, 9/11/01, Muslims attack and murder over 3000 Americans. Bush later gives the "Axis of Evil" speech, citing Iran, Iraq, And North Korea. Dems whine about including North Korea in the "Axis". So we go into Iraq and the Dems change their tune to "Why aren't we in North Korea?"
No attacks to date on American soil since.

I was just about to say the same thing. Somehow I don't recall Ted Kaczynski and Tim McVeigh being Muslim. While I'd agree that our biggest threat nowadays are from Muslim terrorists, saying that all terrorists were and are Muslims just weakens your case because it's much easier to dismiss what you're saying.

Plenty? I can think of only four. Granted, my knowledge is probably limited, but I can't think there are more than a dozen, many of which are small and inconsequential.
More importantly, how many of these non-muslim terrorist groups have attacked the United States? How many have dedicated themselves to destroying us?
I'm gonna regret this. I've been a student of the Mid-East, Arab politics, and Islam, for decades. I take a backseat to nobody in my distrust, dislike, and desire to totally defeat and crush our enemies in the Islamic world. But as a historian, I gotta say that Islam does not hold a monopoly on terrorism. In fact, the first hotel bombing directed at Americans I recall was in Sagion -not a hotbed of Arab unrest. Ireland has produced at least four terrorist groups, and Spain has two? Columbian narcoterrorist count in my book, as do those from Puerto Rico. The HUKs killed Americans with great pleasure, and the Shining Path were known for brutality. Bader-Meinhof, the Red Army Faction, and the Italian Red Brigade loved killing Americans. The worst attack on Lod airport was by Japanese terrorist, and Entebee was a joint action by Bader-Meinhof and Palestinians. Most of these groups had help from the Soviets, who woulda loved to destroy us. Wheew.
But given all that, I agree that the Islamic threat is larger, more prolonged, and most dangerous.
For many, too, you could claim that one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter.
And that's the big issue here, because Muslim terrorists can not be said to be fighting for freedom by any stretch of the words. They are fighting for slavery.
