I listen and like Michael Savage.

Maybe you have Michael Weiner confused with someone else; this cat (Savage) has 'nutrition' background (based on the books he's written) ...
Brief, to-the-point bio:
Born 60 years ago in the Bronx, Weiner has lived in Northern California for most of his adult life, making a living as an herbalist and nutritionist. He communed with Fijian traditional healers, got married in a rain forest and studied ethno-medicine at the University of California at Berkeley. He swam naked with Allen Ginsberg, dreamed of being the next Lenny Bruce and wrote a rambling novel about a half-mad alter ego. His son's middle name is Goldencloud. For years, he made a name cranking out a pile of books on alternative medicine, recommending bizarre remedies such as using vitamin C to stop AIDS and kicking cocaine with coffee enemas.
It never occurred to me to comment. It's true and it's something Savage talks about a lot; i.e., the Muslim connections to WWII Nazis.
He was especially outspoken about it during the Clintons' attacks on the Serbs to protect the KLA. The Serbs did much to help our forces during WWII. Why were we killing them and protecting Nazi allies? Savage demanded loudly.
I haven't been listening to Savage for very long, so the Nazi-Muslim connection is news to me.
So for me post 47 was a terrific post.
I don't totally agree with him, but I respect his concerns about the possibility for an Iraq-Iran radical Shiite superstate. To discount this concern in kneejerk fashion, simply because we like W, would be wrong.
Well lesse. It meanz, no new taxes. The rest don mattah! Doh! ;)
It's the luke warm, moderate "conservatives" that hate him the most. Good old Goldwater Conservatives usually can get what the Savage is trying to get across.
Of course the elections were a fraud. Karl Rove staged them on the same soundstage he faked the moon landings on in 1969.
But they weren't a prop, that would be the indigo ink, the ballots, the chairs, etc. Everything the players need to make it look convincing.
I mean look at that iconic picture of the Iraqi woman making the V victory sign, clearly it's Demi Moore in a burka.
Absolutely! Oh how this reminds me of the early 1960s and Rockefeller Republicans! How they joined the liberals with their invective and epithets. distortions and condemnations.
('Course some Goldwater Conservatives gave it back. I still remember Nelson's one-finger salute to them as he tried to finish his speech at the 1964 convention in SF. A Freeper was kind enough to post a photo from another incident of Nelson's finger but I still cannot find the convention photo. It was classic!)
Mostly good points, thanks. Though I disagree with the characterization of whining. Otherwise his point of flattening Fallujah was of course juxtaposed with losing our ground forces. Just wanted to mention the rest of the story.
As far as blues music it's something he plays every Monday. Fats Domino's "Blue Monday" is a staple on Mondays.
Why does anyone take Savage seriously enough to post what he says here on FR??
Savage doesn't even take himself seriously.
Every show he seems to impulsively utter some outrageous throw away line just to prove to his listeners that he's a contrarian thinkin' man and that he can't be shoe-horned into any particular political category, whether left or right.
Savage is one of those people who thinks himself so clever that if someone says green, he says orange... and when someone says this way, he says the other way.
His show is occasionally stimulating but only from the point that his absurd take on things can be kinda funny. Out of the two dozen or so shows of his which I've heard, he changed his mind on important policy issues of war and peace back and forth about eight times.
Point taken...
Maybe I'm just frustrated these days because the 4pm drive shows in the Bay area between Hannity and Savage just stink. As I said I used to listen to Savage but he just grates hard on my nerves these days.
And Hannity... I need to at least stay awake to get home. And Sean puts me to sleep...

He's like a multiple personality. One day he's ranting away about Bush , and the next day he's flaming the liberals for disrespecting the president.

Great post. You hit it on the head with Savage's amazing grasp of military tactics and strategy. He's another of these armchair generals who JUST KNOWS so much more than the men who are actually in the position to make decisions. He is one of those people (I'm one, too) who is fuelled by a contrary impulse. Many folks who have that impulse, though, are bright enough to make sure they're actually talking with some factual support. Savage talks like he knows most people won't have the time or inclination to check out his judgement or facts.
Here's hoping you don't go back to lurkerdom.
Once a week...Savage has one good topic...and thats it. The rest of the entire week is a wash. If you are traveling down the interstate, and just need something to listen to...fine, he meets your needs...otherwise, tune over to southern hillbilly music and just rest your soul.
You are now on the road with only union people and teachers/professors, many of whom only read the local Union rag or the Merc. Therefore, there is little demand for local consevative talk radio in that time period.
Put in a 'full day', drive between 6 & 8 PM, and listen to Sussmann on KSFO along with your fellow conservatives. You can still listen to a Savage at home via Internet webcast on stations like wokv.com, Jacksonville, Fla or BCBM out of Baltimore from 7-10PM.
"Pulling the wagon" for the entire day, along with the rest of us in the south bay, will give you a non-tiring sense of satisfaction and a safer, more conservative commute home. I know, I've been commuting safely for 20+ years w/o sleeping or feeling drowsy.
