For laughs, it had to be the Ameriquest/cat ad.

I liked the ad, of course.

But in the "funny" category, I would have to go with the Bug ad with Cedric trapped on the island.

For purely purient reasons, the "GoDaddy.com" add was also nice.

Nice, a burn on the places that would probably hurt most.

"Anheuser Busch Thank You"

I have to say , this is one of the most touching things I have seen on TV in a long long time , maybe since live feed from
9/11.....
Makes me so proud to be an American , to see , even as a commercial , our troops returning being treated this way.
I hope word of this gets out and it turns into the real thing in each and every airport where our folks are coming home.
They deserve nothing less than our deepest thanks for a job well done. And visibly so.

I missed "Thank you" when it aired during the SuperBowl. I'm watching it at work, and my mascara is now somewhere near my upper lip.....

I remember the Busch ad for SuperBowl 36 (2002). The Clydesdales going down the road, with just the music playing, somber....and they stop and bow before the New York skyline.

....and just the memory of that has destroyed whatever eye makeup I had left after watching the "Thank You" commercial...

This is a review ESPN Page 3" Super Bowl Commercials"
#5. Anheuser-Busch
Synopsis: People are hanging out at an airport when a plane arrives carrying a dozen or so troops returning from active duty. One by one, the crowd notices them coming off the plane, and they being to clap until the entire terminal is clapping in appreciation for the soldiers. A "thank you" appears on the screen -- fade to black.

Why it works: No logos. No product. No agenda. The Anheuser-Busch company apparently just wanted to drop a couple million to say thank you to the troops fighting overseas. Sure, this isn't a funny ad, but it definitely got the point across a heck of a lot better than some of the other ads we didn't even pick -- and they were actually trying to sell something.

Yes, she was indeed hot. My wife noticed the letcherous leer on my face. I told her it was because I like hot food...:)

So you don't have to give AOL the satisfaction of a "hit", try this thread that was posted (ahem!) LAST NIGHT. (A shameless plug... simply shameless.)

Mash here to get link to Super Bowl Commercials at IFILM

Note you can also view the 2005 banned commercials as well as those from 2004, 2004 and 2003. You can't get that at AOL!!!

I simply DESPISE AOL. Parasites. Scum-of-the-Earth.
