Funny thing is, I had about 10 other photos that I could have used as well.
I'm really a sad case, ride. ;o)

I think the moment you are looking for with the heiny-pat in Florida is on "Headliners and Legends" on MSNBC.
I can't remember if it's the GW episode or the one about Laura.
I accidentally recorded the moment live because I was at home that morning, recording the speech on DVD--but I'll be darned if I can find it!
He gave her a nice pat when he was in Columbus during the campaign! I once again accidentally caught them on film! I had to watch it again when I got home to make sure I didn't imagine it...

Thanks Wolfstar for the compliment, but heck, it wasn't anything special I did. He just keeps providing us with this wonderful portfolio of expressions.

Yep, you'll just have to watch it over and over and over again . . . ENJOY!
I think you're right about People in the News being on CNN, and I'm almost positive it's on FOX or MSNBC. Sorry I can't narrow it down more for you--guess you'll just have to watch more of your tapes!

Yum my favourite type of food. I love our English pancakes for dessert as they are not sweet and are very light but I must admit for breakfast American Pancakes with maple syrup is my favorite breakfast. I get caned for this in the UK and people say I must be half American LOL, I have never made them from scratch but you can buy them from the supermarkets in the UK.

**Hope your mom feels better tomorrow.**
Mum has been able to eat today and is up and apparently even took part in some Easter Activity this morning making Easter Cards or posters I think.
I visited this evening about 4.30pm and she was totally whacked in fact she had fallen asleep with a jam tart in her hand - sticky mess. I woke her up and she finished the tart so she can't feel too bad.
The care assistant that I have got friendly with told me that she had been fairly well today but after doing activities in the morning she is now very tired.
The doctor visits tomorrow apparently he comes in every Thursday and Daphane will get him to check mum out. Whilst I was there another one came down with it so it is doing the rounds hope I don't get it and give it to dad.

****And what's "proper" for some in a marriage isn't for others. ......... I think it is absolutely beyond wonderful that they still display such obvious affection for each other. They are a great role model for young couples, unlike the Clintons, whose marriage is an obvious sham.****
IMHO GWB is a very tactile man and touching, hugging and kissing come very naturally to him whether it be in public or private. He is a PR dream; he is a natural with people especially babies, small children and elderly ladies. He never looks wooden or awkward however many hands he shakes or babies or ladies he kisses. Therefore it is not surprising that the interaction with his wife who he obviously loves and adores is powerful, loving and openly affectionate.
As you say what is proper for some is not for others and is easily distinguished whether it is false or not GWB shows affection easily and naturally when Kerry tried it it looked what it was contrived.
I am a people watcher I just find people fascinating and IMHO you can show affection and love even making a public declaration of it without even touching; a look can do it. Here again the we have seen many instance of this with the President and the Vice President.
The Vice President is a prime example of someone who does not like to show public affection a quick kiss or hug occasionally but he is most certainly into looks that convey much more and are just as powerful. He has been married over 40 years but again he shows that he still very much loves and enjoys the company of his wife. She gets a lot of his wicked mischievous chuckles and grins and she return them easily and lovingly, I love the way she sometimes throws her head back in laughter at something he has said.
These two couples are great role models albeit their styles are very different.

Hey Snugs,
I love reading your posts, as you know, and I have to tell you, I've got this picture postcard image of where you live. In my mind's eye you're in one of those wonderful stone or half timber cottages with a thatched roof and the split wood rail fence outside with roses growing over the front entrance---LOL! Am I really, really off base?

Way off base I live in a Victorian terraced house in a market/railway town. I will have to take a photo and email to someone who can post it.
The garden is full of pigeon lofts and blackberry bushes so maybe that is nearer your picture LOL.

I wondered if that would be too narrowly American to be understood.
Read it this way, "[I agree with] what you said!" (all of it)
Got my package today! Flapjacks are dangerous! (By that I mean, they are way too good.) Will send FReepmail after I do the Dose today.
English flapjacks are somewhat like what we call granola bars.

Oh that's great! Especially the part about the pigeons! Still sounds charming even though it's not quite what I had pictured. Thanks, Snugs.
