I went out at 530 this AM to drive the fory miles to work. I have a 1/4 mile driveway but I was unfazed. Until I backed my fourwheel drive with diff lock on out of the garage. The snow was so deep and packed that it just lifted the body up. I managed to crab it into the garage, and called to say I would be late.
I called my plow man and his wife said that he was out and stuck in his two ton plow rig. He was waiting for some help to arrive in the form of his giant tractor plow.
Haven't seen a snow like this for a while.... and I am no wuss.
It's cool here at about 50. Have yet to the see the first snowflake in east Texas. We never have to shovel heat. I used to put up with the snow in Missouri. Never again.
Let's talk again when it is 140 degrees in the shade in Texas and one cannot be outside for more than one minute without searing the lungs.
Those pictures are great. Where are they?

Am I protesting a bit to loudly?
But I'm not!
Quick! We must sign the Kyoto Protocol posthaste!
Yes. Where's the pen. Did you bring the pen? I didn't bring the pen. No pen!
No treaty.
Awwwwwww.
Oh no. I want to take it back. HELP, save Sophie. Lord knows she couldn't save herself.
Too bad...she will be marked for the rest of her short life...in dog years.
That's it. We are going into the dog identity program...and I'm calling out the Marines. So take that.

The Dog Identity Program. Don't you know that it was cut under the Clinton Administration and the funds redirected to the Intern Training Program. Your dog's days are numbered.
Make sure you send out cute Marines.
Hah, you have outed yourself. Sophie and I have nothing to fear.
Actually, living in a small isolated community is like going back to the 50's. No crime, drugs in schools, or getting too excited about having to be anywhere in a hurry. Something about not having locks on doors or ever taking keys out of vehicles.

Does this mean that you aren't sending the cute Marines?

Sounds wonderful. You do have permafrost dont you?
I'm keeping them. They have had some of my lasagne and they don't want to leave. Uncle???

How about a plate of lasagne and one really cute Marine? I like 'em with grey hair and steely blue eyes.
Good heavens, I looked at your homepage. I wish you were my sister. Ummm, yes on the physical atributes of the Marines, but I would never be able to divert attention from my girls, which is fine in the great scheme of things.
We can be Freeper sisters. And look for cute OLDER Marines together.
That sounds delightful.
Global warming at work. Ironically today I heard another envirowaco saying that the end is near and that Alaska, Glacier Park and other areas are melting fast due to GW (not Bush). It was 65 degrees today and warming fast while raining. Is that good? The garden thinks so.
What's a 1/4 mile of shoveling to a determined person bent on getting to work?
Being an army brat can do that to you.
