Ward Churchill Canceled Again(EXCELLENT NEWS!)
World Net Daily ^ | 2/14/2005 | World Net Daily

The University of Oregon has canceled plans to have Ward Churchill, the University of Colorado professor under fire for calling victims of the 9-11 attacks "Little Eichmans," speak at an on-campus symposium.

Churchill was scheduled to give the keynote lunch address at a symposium titled "Homeland 'In'Security: Race, Immigration and Labor in Post-9/11 North America," a joint presentation of the University of Oregon's Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics and the Center on Diversity and Community, the school's Oregon Daily Emerald reported.

According to the report, the directors of the program nixed plans for Churchill and his colleague, Natsu Taylor Saito, to speak at the symposium because they wanted the event to stay on topic.

"His topic was not the main focus of the conference," Morse Center Director Margaret Hallock told the paper. "It wasn't part of the original intent."

John Shuford, associate director of the Eugene, Ore., campus' Center on Diversity and Community, said security was also a concern, stating, "The joint presentation – which was not centrally related to the conference – would overshadow two days' worth of other presentations."

As WorldNetDaily reported, the national furor over Churchill stems from an essay he wrote titled "Some People Push Back: On the Justice of Roosting Chickens," written shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks. In it, he describes the thousands of American victims who died in the World Trade Center inferno as "little Eichmanns" (a reference to notorious Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann) who were perpetuating America's "mighty engine of profit." They were destroyed, he added, thanks to the "gallant sacrifices" of "combat teams" that successfully targeted the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.

I concur - Churchill is a venerable name and I hate that he uses it. Probably isn't even his real name..he is just a big eared old phony.

Ward is Ok (section of the hospital for the care of a group of patients) Mosque is great ...but how about Mosquehummock? (pronounced Mos' scum ick)

Hummock - small mound of dirt!!!!!!!!

Just a thought;)

I see my fears about WC corrupting our youth were unfounded.

He seems to spend all his time running around to "lectures" rather than spending any time lecturing in the classroom.

The trade-off theough is that he's is corrupting the minds of college administrators instead. Since they're alrweady The Lost anyway, it really isn't much damage.

That means efforts to get his rants cancelled may actually be counter-productive, since they leave him more time to actually spend with his "students".

I understand what you and others keep saying that Shrillary is going to lie, cheat, steal, cry, whimper, beg and plead to get into the White House in 2008. But, like anyone else, I don't like being called a fool for voicing my opinion, and I think my opinion is closer to reality than yours. 2008 will probably produce the environment to prove one of us right.

Your opinion is that she will fool enough people, but I have faith that enough Americans will not be fooled and that she will never be elected to a national office.

I won't call you a fool, but I believe I'm right.

I am very new at this and don't really know how to just post my comment, but I want to say that I am a child of the 60s, and we weren't all radical or questioning authority. Somehow, I managed to stand out by my choices and beliefs. Three days out of high school, I was a member of the Woman's Army Corps, and I have always found "rabble rouser's" like Ward Dirthill, to be sometimes pitied, and a lot of times just plain objectionable. Some how a man in his mid or late 60's who still wears his hair long, tells me that somewhere along the line in his life, he turned his brain and heart off from any stretching, growing or maturing and now--he just doesn't get it! He will never understand what a true blue American is.

The real fools will be those who will support a RINO thinking that is what we need to beat Hillary.

With Hillary playing up to the right with some of her recent stances (Rush is right. She's not playing to the 'center'.) the GOP will lose for sure if they run to the center or left. I am not as convinced as you as to the brain power of the American people or of the integrity of the election system or even the will and backbone of the GOP to prevent fraud.

At the UNIVERSITY of OREGON? The land of Birkenstock originals and whole-grain bakeries?

Ward Churchill's street cred must really be dropping like a rock...let's keep it up.

"Small mound of dirt."

Very fitting, if we visualize the small mound of dirt as being where a rabid cat covered up his excrement.

I think the same thing when I see Churchill (or others like him). Why is he trying so hard to look like a college student in the 60s? A lot of effort goes into manufacturing his appearance. If you read his speeches, book reviews, etc. you know for sure this guy stopped growing intellectually decades ago. Welcome to Free Reepublic!
