Young Conservatives Make Strides In NC

I think that the day of the young conservative has definitely arrived, especially in the Tarheel State, and that can spell certain panic for the leftists in North Carolina.

Today, the College Republicans of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte held a "affirmative action bake sale", in which cookies were sold based on sex and race. For a white male, a cookie cost $5, whereas a black female paid $1.25. According to the president of the club, this was merely showing that labeling and filling a "quota", even after the civil rights movement, were still the norm.

I firmly believe that a human being is a human being, and an American is an American, no matter what the skin color or family background might be. We are all made of skin and bones and organs and are born the same way. The idea that one is better than the other, or preferential treatment for one over another is prejudice, and should be fought, tooth and nail.

The other group making noise is the Young Republicans of Union County, in which they are challenging certain elected officials to "come out" and explain why $500,000,000 of county taxes were sent to Raleigh, to help repair and construct new roads, only to have $100,000,000 of that returned.

The chairman of the YR's speculated that the PTB's (powers that be), have not been wise with the taxes, and have pandered to personal friends, whose sole purpose is to look out for their wallets, at the expense of the people.

So, you see, young people do care about what happens in their communities, and want governments, whether they are local, state or federal, to be responsible to their constituents about the going-ons.

We want to make the country safer, stronger, more productive and morally sound. For those naysayers and critics, who think we are "immature", "hard-headed", "brash" and so on, we want to let them know that we are ready to take on the responsibilities and challenges that are thrown at us.

There is a saying, "the world is run by those who show up". Well, WE ARE HERE TO STAY!

As Rush would say, "demonstrating absurdity by being absurd"

What we have stirred up is a hornet's nest. There are people I talked to that are hopping mad about the treachery with this tax money and the road issue.
