Goss fears WMD attack in U.S. 'a matter of time'

Senior U.S. intelligence leaders told Congress yesterday that "it may only be a matter of time" before terrorists try to use weapons of mass destruction against the United States. In his first public appearance since becoming CIA director in September, Porter J. Goss used the annual worldwide threat hearing to issue the prediction, while another federal official said the FBI knows little about al Qaeda sleeper cells such as the September 11 terrorists. "It may be only a matter of time before al Qaeda or another group attempts to use chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons," Mr. Goss told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III testified that he is "very concerned" about the lack of data on a network of al Qaeda "sleeper" cells in the United States.

This is pretty much irrelevant, since some of the newest converts to this insane cult are coming from the prison population. Many of them look just like you & me.
Did anyone see Bill O'Reilly last night? He had a man on that infiltrates the websites of Islamic groups. What he had to say was frightening. The FBI are watching him because he has received many death threats.
If you don't think that hostile Middle Easterners with dark complexions and black hair and passable Spanish have managed to walk across our Southern border in jeans and ball caps, then I have a great deal on swamp land that we need to talk about.
There is so much 'stuff' about this in here. And of course, the MSM never breaths a word about it. Thank God for the Internet!

Well, shoot. I missed Bill last night. I know others right here in Free Republic that have been receiving threats as well.

The first attempt on the WTC was in 95 I believe. Six years later they succeeded. It has only been 3 years since 911. Anyone that has become complacent is a fool. The real threat will come from the screaming of the MSM that Bush has failed when the next terror attack happens. They are salivating for it already. It is our job when that time comes to expose their obvious glee to the electorate, they will be unable to help themselves and we should be ready for that.

Yep, we are getting "new" converts from the Prison system. Note that the prison system today is FILLED with illegals (and legal)immigrants from Mexico who have broken the law - as well as a percentage of young, poor Blacks who see Islam as an empowerment tool.
And yes, Many of them probably look like you and me, especially if at least one of us is Mexican or Black.

Agreed. But we all know what the problem is, and that virtually nothing is being done about it. I hate to be a downer but every time I ask on this board whether there is good news I am missing, I usually come up empty.
With our porous borders and the new, live fire training ground in Iraq, the nefarious "Al Quada" may actually have something to go on.
This problem is huge and for some reason, someone is trying to keep it under the rug. The MSM just teases about the border information. They "might" be here. "Some" believe that they are already here, etc.
As we can see by the map, we have plenty living among us now. I guess the Muslim's don't want this map to be put on TV for fear of more uprising's around the United States. But I believe we are facing a huge problem here.
Most of the Mosque's in the US are good and decent people. But with all big families, there are black sheep. And the terrorist coming across the borders night after night.......what better places to find refuge then with their own kind?
If Bush continues to ignore border security and advocate the illegal invasion of our country he has indeed failed to protect the country he swore to protect.
Hey, I'm not the director of the CIA, but I am certain the terrorists will try to hit us with a WMD - either biological or a small nuke or a dirty bomb - as soon as they can get their hands on one. What I would like to know from Mr Goss is, what are you doing to prevent it????

well, if America is overrun by Mexican immigrants, as seems to be the concensus, what excuse is there for being unfamiliar with their characteristics (apart from the taboo of profiling)?
Maybe it's me -- but I don't think so -- but it seems one would have to blind and mute to confuse a Mexican with an Arab. And you can tell me all the reasons I'm wrong, but I assure I couldn't mix the two up if I wanted to.
What can they do to prevent it? Nothing. Why? Because that is the Catch, Catch 22. That nifty little corner the liberals in this country have painted us into.
On the one hand you have the 9/11 commish that amounted to no more than a political tool to blame Bush for 9/11. That panel made reccomendations etc, many of which Bush had already enacted, i.e. tougher interrogation techniques. On the other hand, you have the ACLU, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy etc. who will blast Bush for not enacting the reccomendations of the 9/11 commish, while at the same time decrying the erosion of our civil liberties due to the Patriot Act, cry about Abu Grahib and Gitmo and generally undermine (terrorists have constitutional rights) the changes the President has made to try and make us more secure. CLOSE THE BORDER!?!?! Absoultely, but you can bet faster than you can say ACLU, the ACLU will file a lawsuit in the Ninth Circus getting such an action declared unconstitutional.
All the time, Teddy, Johnny and the rest high five each other because if there is no attack, they can decry the erosion of our civil liberties while relying on the judiciary to erode the protections Bush has enacted to make us safer, and if there is an attack, they can decry that Bush did nothing to protect us and distracted us in Iraq. Its a cute little political tool, but basically frags the citizens of this country.
Mark Levin is spot on, make the Judiciary a co-equal branch of the government again, and this insanity stops.
