We bring before You tonight, our President, George W. Bush, asking You to be a constant presence in his life, and praying that he might be transformed into Your likeness with ever-increasing glory. We thank You that he is seeking Your guidance as he leads this great nation and the world. We thank You that he has a vision for the world that sees the desire for freedom that You have planted into each soul. But we also know, Lord, that You have also implanted in our souls a need for fellowship with You, and we pray that, through the newfound freedom that millions are now experiencing, that the Gospel of the Good News of Your love would spread throughout these lands which were once in darkness and oppression.
We pray for the continued protection of both the President and First Lady, and ask that You would bless them abundantly with Your love and peace. We ask that You would strengthen their marriage, and their commitment to each other, and more importantly to You. Keep them centered in You, in the study of Your word, and in prayer, and help them to reflect Your glory in their faces, so that they might be a witness to Your love as they travel, and spend time with those who don't know You as Lord and Savior.
Father, we continue to pray as well for our troops who are serving in harm's way. Protect them, dear Lord and shelter them under Your wing. Help them to feel Your presence in their lives, and comfort them as they are far from loved ones and home. Thank You for their service and sacrifice on our behalf, and Lord, we ask that You might also give them the information that they need to find the evil ones who continue to murder innocent Iraqis. We ask for strength for the Iraqi people, and an end to the bloodshed in that land.
And finally, dear Lord, we pray for this nation. We are thankful for the tort reform legislation signed today. We ask especially for strength and courage for the Republicans in Congress as judges are brought before them for nomination, that they would uphold the Constitution, and allow the vote for those judges who would follow the Constitution and the laws of the land, and not actively seek to destroy the moral fiber of this nation, as has been done by activist leftist judges. We pray for the people of America, too, dear Father, that there would be a spiritual awakening, and an increased understanding that we must return to morality, and obedience to Your laws. We thank You for the freedom and blessings that You have showered upon us, and ask that we might never take them for granted, for we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You alone. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus, the Christ, who died as a ransom for our sins, Amen.
Please come and pray with us for our President, our troops, and our nation!
I find it easy to pray for our President when I KNOW that he is praying for me.
Amen! It's very encouraging to know that he is a true servant leader who holds us up in prayer, as we do him.
It's a nice relationship. It makes me feel very good.
O Father our King,

We Implore Special Blessings, O Giver of Good Gifts, for our Dear ones who Faithfully Post this Blessed Thread. Anoint Ever-Increasingly the Ministries of our Ohio, Faith, Kayak, and Alpha, as they Bring Forth Manna from Your Own Loving Hand. Strengthen Your children in all of their Labors, and Grant every Desire of their Dear and Godly hearts. We also Plead that You will Meet every Need of all who come Here to Pray, Sending Mercy and Peace to every Wounded, Aching Soul.
We Thank You for Keeping our Military, Great King, and we Praise You for Your Protection of our America and Israel. O Merciful Master, we Lift Your Name High, Thanking You for All You have Done! Thank You for our Salvation in Jesus Christ, and be Exalted for Your Eternally-Matchless Sovereign Grace!

Perhaps, O tried soul, the Lord is doing this to develop thy graces. There
are some of thy graces which would never be discovered if it were not for
thy trials. Dost thou not know that thy faith never looks so grand in
summer weather as it does in winter? Love is too often like a glow-worm,
showing but little light except it be in the midst of surrounding
darkness. Hope itself is like a star-not to be seen in the sunshine of
prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity.
Afflictions are often the black foils in which God doth set the jewels of
his children's graces, to make them shine the better. It was but a little
while ago that on thy knees thou wast saying, "Lord, I fear I have no
faith: let me know that I have faith." Was not this really, though perhaps
unconsciously, praying for trials?-for how canst thou know that thou hast
faith until thy faith is exercised? Depend upon it, God often sends us
trials that our graces may be discovered, and that we may be certified of
their existence. Besides, it is not merely discovery, real growth in grace
is the result of sanctified trials. God often takes away our comforts and
our privileges in order to make us better Christians.
He trains his soldiers, not in tents of ease and luxury, but by turning
them out and using them to forced marches and hard service.
He makes them ford through streams, and swim through rivers, and climb
mountains, and walk many a long mile with heavy knapsacks of sorrow on
their backs.
Well, Christian, may not this account for the troubles through which thou
art passing? Is not the Lord bringing out your graces, and making them
grow? Is not this the reason why he is contending with you?

Trials give new life to prayer;
Trials bring me to his feet,
Lay me low, and keep me there."
