Assuming it's not the Church of the Divine Chupacabra or something to do with Body Thetans, good for him.

Well that's cool. I hope it lasts.

God works in mysterious ways.
Mark 2:17
And hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Excellent news from the Korn website!
Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian Head Welch, who has chosen the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end. Korn respects Brian's wishes and hopes he finds the happiness he is searching for.

So I guess this means he's not a freak on a leash anymore?
Seriously, good for him. Too many of these guys really get into the satanic stuff and don't make it out.

I hope its not one of those people going from one addiction to the other extreme. I hope he stays with Jesus for the long haul. Life with the lord has many trials.

Korn was on 'Monk' last week. Their tour bus was stuck in traffic and Monk had to take his nurse's little girl onto their bus to go to the bathroom. Funny scene. Anyways, I am happy for Brian Welch. Sometimes, religion is in a person all along only they don't know it. One day it just hits them.

I hope he finds a good barber and plastic surgeon for the tatoo removal as well.

bump. It will be interesting to see the reaction this gets from the MTv\pop-music crowd. I do hope that it works out for him and he doesn't let the outside pressure force of pop culture lure him back into the gristmill of mo-money/mo-fame lifestyle before he has a chance to shine on his own. It is going to be tough to start a new music career that will be in a different direction and finding a new audience than that of Korn. I am sure there will be some cross over but it will be slow going at first.

I listen to KORN thank you very much. When Im having a stressful crazy day, I turn on my ipod and go for a powerwalk.
And there are groups that are Christian and have a heavy rock sound, such as P.O.D.
I'm sure Brian will do just fine and more power to him to go onto a new journey.

My brother-in-law and nephews have a Christian Rock Heavy Metal Family Band called JCD. If you'd like to check them out, you can help yourself to some free downloads here: http://music.download.com/jcd

Methinks ex-Korn mixes better with God than your unnecessary implied use of the F word....

I am sure there will be some cross over but it will be slow going at first. You somehow missed that part of the post. I am sure he will do fine but my point was that anytime someone leaves a group and strikes out on their own they will be a slow building process of a new core audience regardless if they stay with the same music style or go totally in a different direction.
