Two signs that this case maybe turning in Terri's parents' favor: the NY Times now refers to Terri as being "severely disabled" (as opposed to "in a vegetative state") AND the NY Times ended its latest article about the Schiavo case(published minutes ago)with the line, "Michael Schiavo lives with his girlfriend and their two children." It seems the Times is changing its tone a bit when covering this case, which may indicate the truth is getting out. (Of course, the Times itself has helped perpetuate the lies about this case; now, they're just playing CYA. Nevertheless, it's a positive sign.)

"Michael isn't living with dignity, but nobody's trying to off him!"

He may not be living with dignity, but he sure is living high on the hog, driving a sleek silver Mercedes (on a nurse's salary, to boot), and shacking up with a honey named Jodi who has given him 2 kids. His house ain't no dump, either.

But of course, his neighbors think the world of him!

Especially since he may have gotten wind that there's an impeachment petition for his removal from the bench.

Maybe the stakes have changed, eh Judge Greer?? Can't issue your injudicious mandates so easily .. right? People are watching every move you make...you're under a microscope .. ..voters can get copies of all your rulings and the latest court news, and track all your professional and financial involvements. Voters are newly empowered and you just can't put the cork back in the bottle.

For WHATEVER reason Judge Greer has made this ruling, Praise The Lord!!! It means Terri is still allowed to live, and we have two more days to raise cain about this travesty to the world, and two more days there's hope. Prayers for sweet Terri!!

I think Greer is spooked. The case for removing Terri's tubes is built on lies, and Greer is worried that the truth will out...after he is the one who kicked off Terri's death by allowing Michael Schiavo to remove her feeding and hydration tubes. I predict -- granted, this would be what i would want to happen -- that Greer allows the Schiavos to proceed with their arguments. I think the prayers of good people are working and the truth is getting out about Terri. Even the NYTimes now is writing that Terri is (merely) "several disabled", and the Times also is mentioning Michael Schiavo's live-in girlfriend, with whom he has two children.

Yes, but he sued for malpractice and asked that the monetary award be based on all the years that she would live...I forget but it may have been 44 to 50 years and he repeated his marriage vows under oath and he said that Terri was his life and I think at one point he said he wanted to be a nurse to care for Terri...but he won money and Terri won a large sum to be used for her care and rehabilitation....but when the money came, he stopped all rehabilitation and he put a DNR on her chart. He never told the jury that Terri would want to die...he said she would live for years and he wanted to care for her. I think this speaks volumes!

My mother had a DNR on her chart and she went into a coma and I told the doctor that I did not want her to die and he told me that DNR doesn't mean that they stop trying to heal her, it only means that if she died, they would not resusitate. We all need food and water.

Perhaps I'm wrong, and I certainly wasn't following this case in the 1990s. I thought Michael didn't try to remove the feeding tube until Florida law permitted him to do so.

That is commonly mentioned on the Terri threads and I assumed it was undisputed fact.

Michael Schiavo is a control freak and I believe that he wants to put Terri out of HIS misery.

I know a Catholic wedding isn't important to Michael, and the proof for that is that if it were important to him, Terri's murder wouldn't be a factor. It's a ruse to what's really important to Michael. Control. Power. Money. Convenience.

Oh yeah. Absolutely.

But there is Jodi, the concubine, and cohabitant with Michael the adulterer, to consider. Perhaps it is JODI who wants the church wedding, and perhaps, Jodi's family insurance business has an, well, financial interest in Terri's death.

He didn't FILE to remove her feeding tube until 1998

There is much more to this than most people know....

It was agianst the law until 1999= amazing how certain people in certain places mad all this happen.....

I can't defend Michael's actions in this matter at all. Even if she truthfully told him that she wouldn't want to be kept alive, he ought to be willing to wash his hands of the matter and turn her over to her parents. By his own logic, she wouldn't know or care at present.

This battle has escalated far beyond any concern for Terri, at least on Michael's behalf.

"We only have the evidence from her spouse which isn't very credible after all that has transpired.

Dog Gone - WHAT evidence has her spouse given? He has only SAID that she "wouldn't want to live like that" as far as I know.

He first tried to off her by withholding antibiotics when she had a severe infection and he was told that he could not legally withhold lifesaving medicine. Terri's parents had him deposed and he swore under oath that he did try to withhold the medicine and that he thought it would cause her death but he has been told it was illegal and that he would not do it again.....but Terri got another infection and he tried to get the court to rule that the antibiotics would be withheld....but the court overruled him

Yes, MICHAEL SCHIAVO STARVED AND DEHYDRATED HIS OWN PARENTS TO DEATH.

He said it himself, on the Larry King Show.
Here's an excerpt, and a link to the CNN transcript. It makes for some scary reading.

SCHIAVO: Removing somebody's feeding is very painless. It is a very easy way to die. Probably the second better way to die, being the first being an aneurysm.

And it doesn't bother me at all. I've seen it happen. I had to do it with my own parents.
