FREEP - Fayetteville NC, 3/19 "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" (and counterprotest the 5th Column Marxists)

Once again, busloads of leftist activists will descend upon Fayetteville, NC in an attempt to demoralize the will of our American troops by targetting their loved ones with antiwar drivel.

The choice of Fayetteville, NC, as a focal point of their propaganda campaign, is due to the fact that it is the home of Ft. Bragg (and the 82nd Airborne) as well as the Pope Airforce Base. The leftists will march with socialist banners and bring out an array of speakers decrying the war and advocating every variety of left-wing topic from Marxism and socialism to special "rights" for homosexuals to secularism to pro-Hezbollah Palestinianism. (Seriously - last year they all were really there!)

The unifying factor of all of these groups is anti-Americanism utilizing continued propaganda themes of "Bush lied" and "No blood for oil". The mob will also import a number of speakers who have allegedly lost loved ones in Iraq, and will create some sort of symbolic display reflecting the number of dead. (They have used pairs of boots and black umbrellas in the past.) They will (undoubtedly through an unintentional oversight) neglect to display any symbolism reflecting the number of Americans killed in the WTC, or Iraqis killed by Saddam or Women beaten by the Taliban, or the number of Afghanis and Iraquis and Palestinians and Ukrainians and (soon) Egyptians who now have the ability to vote.

Last year, FReepers countered the leftwing protests with the added participation of Rolling Thunder, Protest Warriors, Vets and other patriotic Americans. This year, we'll do it again! We had lots of press coverage, and totally deflated the left's bubble. Families of our troops loved the fact that we were there!

Please join FReepers from Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and DC in Fayetteville this year as once again we provide aid and comfort to American troops!

We will be back at Bragg in April. I heard on Rush that since Iraq began, anti war/soldier/America protestors periodically line the gates with signs and generally pi*s soldiers, family members, and retirees off with their drivel. The same caller said how these people hold up signs saying Bush is a murderer, and Iraq is wrong and we are killing innocent people, and the children of soldiers have to go thru the gate and see it! I will keep an eye on the NC ping list, and you can count me in for any freeping once we get to NC. I would love to make a sign to hold up, too!

Hey Mud! Great exchange. Did he get back to you? Do you have a link?

Some people get their hands on an Al Franken book and a Michael Moore movie, and they don't know how to seperate the shit from the shineola anymore. Glad to see you're trying to straighten the poor misguided lad out.

My mom wears Birkenstocks. She couldn't wear Bass sandals any more after the operations on her toes.

Has your mom ever tried Dansko shoes. I have bunion problems and used to work in burkies until I had to stop due to Achilles tendentious. I switched to Plogs for work and shoes similar to or Dansko for casual.

Let me know if you hear about the protestors at the gate before I do for I live only about 4 blocks from one of the gates and I will surely be there on the other side.

Please note the last line in this story published on Saturday by Time Warner Cable:

Time Warner Channel 14 News: Veterans and families rally against the war

Lie No.1: There were about 74 counter-demonstrators last year.
Lie No.2: So far, none have filed for a rally permit this year.

We who were there know that that is not true. There were probably close to that many from Rolling Thunder there last year and that's not counting all of the Freepers and others who just came because they wanted to be there. And we who live here know that this is a big crock of donkey poo. Every time that I read something about the commies rally last year, their numbers increase. They are really playing themselves up to look like a major force.

Well, they may have gotten the story wrong this time. And they may even have gotten it wrong on purpose, trying to keep our numbers down.

FR is the mainstream media bypass; and I know you guys down in NC and SC are getting the word out among local "affinity groups," to borrow the lefty term. We are going to have more fun than last year, and I daresay a lot more people on our side to counter the leftists' lies.

You southerners are great hosts, btw.

;-)
