Schiavo Moves Closer to Death (Schindlers Attorney: She Has 'Passed the Point of No Return')
ITV of Britain ^ | 3.27.05 9:49 PM

Posted on 03/27/2005 2:35:40 PM PST by gopwinsin04

The Schindlers attorney said that Mrs. Schiavo is declining rapidly and a morphine drip has been administered by medical staff at her hospice to help her ease her pain.

He added, 'At this point, we would say that Terri has passed the point of no return.'

The case has been in and out of court for years and has gripped America.

It has seen the intervention of US President George W. Bush, the US Supreme Court and Florida's Governor Jeb Bush.

The Schindlers, practicing Roman Catholics, have attracted passionate support from an array of Christian conservatives, right to life, and anti abortion advocates, who have been holding vigils outside the hospice.

Remember Condi Rice's statement in Europe claiming the US operates by a different set of moral values?

How embarrassing.

you got it...

The ghouls have been shilling the Nazi notion that starvation is now a humane death..unless it of course is one of the stray dogs or cats down at the county humane society...

Then you go to jail or even prison for doing to an animal what the state is doing to Terri Schindler Schiavo

The morphine is of course to try and kill the little girl who is so determined to live that she has taken every torture her so called husband and the state have thrown at her for years...and survived..

She has a phenomenal will to live...not very typical of anyone who wants to die as badly as Mikey, his lawyer, and black robed ghoulish judge says she does..

The Nazis used to starve their 'useless eaters' and undesireables to death..and called it a humane death..

Terri wont die fast enough to suit her so called M.D.
so he has to take a more active role in her state sponsored murder..

Velcome to the NWO the third way marriage of National and International Socialism of paganism and atheism..

imo

lets keep in mind that it was the Schindlers' attorney who is saying this. Statement tailored for public consumption? I hope there is no pain.

Please see my post #48 regarding what happens to people who have been starved and dehydrated to death. Compare that to what Michael's attorney, Felos, claims that "Terri's dying peacefully," that she's "doesn't feel anything," that "she's resting comfortably," that morphine has been perscribed for pain symptoms in her "Exit Protocol," and that he's never seen her as "beautiful" than after 8 days of dehydration.

Maybe they did.

Of course, that would be a medical procedure.

Flame away. ------ For what?

***

There are a number of old-time FReepers who frown on anyone suggesting that they are disappointed in Jeb (and G.W.) over this matter. They are afraid that it will hurt the Republican solidarity or something like that. Well, I am disappointed, disillusioned and disgusted. They had to have something they could have done to stop this murder of this innocent woman. I am really disgusted in the entire government. Never have I seen something so shameful!

I wish it were a tipping point, but the MSM have shown that they still have power to affect the agenda. Just look at the polls-lukewarm Reps. and principled Dems may run for the hills.

By the way I noticed today that on the talk shows, i.e. Mclaughlin, Mathews, that the conservatives are always conservative pundits-i.e. barnes, Kristol. However their lib counterparts tend to be journalists or editors- mitchel, alter, clift whose jobs are to be unbiased.

So much for media bias.

lets keep in mind that it was the Schindlers' attorney who is saying this.

The existence of the morphine drip gives credibility to the entire statement. Are you saying there is no morphine, and the attorney lied? The Schlinders cannot order any medication for Terri, and her doctors would only order it for pain.

....We need laws to protect life itself

Yes, and I suggest that each check the end-of-life laws and who makes the decisions in their states and keep on watching it. Throw absolute fits when a panel or a group becomes the determiner of the state's handling of such.

Looks like (from another poster) Florida at first set up a End-of-Life panel for recommendations to be considered, then the end-of-life panel made recommendations that WOULD be made in to law as the legislature signed the responsibility over to them "due to expertise". Therefore, they recommend and it is immediate law. Of course, the euthanasia group is rampant in such committees.

We each must find out our state laws - and get busy insuring that we and our children are safe from the ghouls thinking it is more profitable for us to not be here.

Another point......

The Living Will. Insure that there is NO provision for the medical staff to override your wishes. Florida has a statement that "advanced directives" can be over-ridden by the doctors. And it did not specify "who" can write advanced directives. With a little loose interpretation - the hospital or others probably could.

We will have to watch what we allow the euthanasia society to foist on American life.

And the liberal crowds cheer for her death, not knowing, not caring, that the next death the crowds cheer for may be their own.

And may Terri meet him at the pearly gates and strike him down.

Right general idea, but here it is straight from the Word of God:

Genesis 4:9-10 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

I suspect Terri's blood will be quite evident when Michael faces his Judge.

Why does Felos want Terri to die on Easter Sunday? He will get his wish, I think.

He is getting something from this. I wish I understood what.
