This shows that CBS is as gleeful about her death as Felos. As: "in life she was dysfunctional," but in death, she's "peaceful and beautiful."

ANDRE LENOGE: "Where is Congress? Where are the Senators? Where are the Congresspeople?
Nobody knows. There has only been only one case like this in all of American history.
That was Roanoake in 1587 when everyone disappeared. Every man, woman and child.
Today the Congress is empty of sentient people but there was word carved on the side of the Senate, "Croaton".
Hope is dimming for the missing residents of the US Congress.
But I know one thing. They will all be replaced in the next election."

Senators (in Unison): We are sorry Judge Greer. We are sorry Judge Greer. We will give you what you want.
We will give you what you want. We are sorry Judge Greer. We will give you what you want.

Judgenfuhrer Greer: "March 29. I have proven the US Congress and its toliet paper subpoenas
are NOTHING but pussies and a bucket of warm spit.
Payback for 2000 as I micturate on 18 USC Section 1505 and Title 2 of the US code."

How very, very tasteless and insensitive. The article AND the timing.

I agree with all here...the articles and the general coverage have been less than critical of Michael Schiavo...indeed, they've been downright sympathetic to him. Criticism, that's been left to the columnists and bloggers. I understand why CBS may have written this story early (were they the ones who had pre-prepared the Reagan obit, too?), and maybe posting it was a mistake. But how about some balance in the story? They so easily make her sound like some sad, ugly girl with no self esteem, and almost cheerfully accept the argument her bulimia killed her without acknowledging facts in dispute? That's nice. THAT's my complaint.

As you may have already noticed, some choose to abandon clear thinking at a time like this.

Once her once husband was certain his court friend was going to succeed in 'putting Terri down', Michael Schiavo allowed colorful stuffed animals and soft music into her world, in sharp contrast to the more than a deacde of forced neglect he had torutred her with prior to the 'death process'. Absadamnlutely disgusting

So the flowers, music and stuff animal tucked under her arm are not really there but a figment of someone's imagination?

The article is wrong in so many ways that it is impossible to know where to start.

I have no idea if they are ther or not, but then neither does the person who wrote that stupid article since they have no more access to that room than I do.

I'm sure come election time the papers have articles written for both candidates, both super bowl teams, both world series teams, ect. There is nothing new about writing an article before it happened so you can get it to the presses first.

Happens all the time and occasionally the wrong one slips out or the story gets out before it should. The BBC once ran a story that the queen mother had died when in fact she was alive and well at the time. CNN.com accidentally posted their "President Reagan has died" story a couple of years before he did. Having stories prepared in advance for something they know is coming is standard operating procedure in the media.

Felos said the hospice room was decorated with flowers, had music playing and that Schiavo had a stuffed tabby cat under one arm.

If Terri is so brain dead as Felos and Michael claim, why the stuffed tabby under her arm, soft music...she's brain dead Michael remember? Maybe it is just for Michael's comfort only.

"Her interests during school years are unclear, though she shied away from boys and parties."
"What purpose does this paragraph serve?"

Maybe just to point out to the sheeple that her life was headed in the direction of prudish, right-wing, religious fanatic and really her death is nothing to fret about.
Just a wild guess.

Unless Michael has relented since the tube was removed on having anything in the room.

Where is Congress? Where are the Senators? Where are the Congresspeople?

I made several calls to congressional and gubernatorial offices yesterday. The only interested response I got was from Rick Santorum's phone-person. (Lieberman's phone answerer was politely noncommittal and the people at Jeb's and Frist's office were borderline antagonistic.)

Terri's plight seems to be yesterday's news to some "leaders."

My "wild guess" is that it's to show how lucky she was to have landed a great guy like Michael.

Known as Terri Schiavo,

Rarely have I ever come across something that made me want to throw up in the first sentence.

They wouldn't refer to an animal like this and they do it to a human.

1/2 this forum has thrown any semblance of reason out the window and are talking solely with their emotions. Not a good combination. Of course some are DU trolls joining just to stir the pot and try to destroy FR.
