Florida's Department of Children and Families had received nearly 90 allegations that Michael Schiavo had abused his wife in recent years - but a Florida judge ruled yesterday that DCF summaries of those allegations must remain secret.

Makes you wonder who Greer is covering up for. He's not just doing this for himself. What's in it for him?

Yep, yep and yep...

I agree. And it's truly sad to see people drop by to slam this report for no other reason than it conflicts with the rubbish they have been trying to push during this whole sordid affair.

"abused his wife in recent years

That's what makes it fishy. I'd put the brakes on running with this until I knew the whole story.

If Michael Schiavo has been unfairly accused and then exonerated by the DCF report, I am sure he will be releasing the report on his own, forthwith.
In fact,he should hold a joint press conference with the DCF investigators who prepared the report,
to go over each and every accusation and the subsequent finding that each allegation was unfounded.
At least that's what an innocent man would do.
For those who say this is a personal matter- Terri was comparable to a helpless child.
If Terri had been toddler , with the same accusations, the world would be in an uproar demanding answers.
Judge Greer and Schiavo were in charge of her care.
How do you order that a person with a urinary tract infection not receive antibiotics ?
This isn't about right to die or how she was initially injured, this is about how she was ordered cared for, in the interim.
There is a serious stench about the way Schiavo/Greer ordered Terri cared for-long before Schiavo remembered that she no longer wanted to live.
It's very troubling that the hospice nurses have said that they had to sneak basic care to Terri, behind Schiavo/ Greer's back.
This could be seen as a case of de facto child abuse .
It appears that no matter how serious the allegations against the guardian, Judge Greer dismissed them out of hand and continued to give the guardian carte blanche to rule over the ward.
I just hope that if Judge Greer has appointed guardians to care for other children, he is not ignoring accusations of abuse.

Maybe Greer's covering up for the DCF, do you think? After all, it was the DCF who objected to releasing the records.

In recent years, there are alegations of abuse such as denying her medication for infections, dental care, etc. Perhaps that is what is meant by abuse. I don't know, but I've also read that DCFS had an investigation going on and it was shut down.

Well, it would sure be nice to know the whole story, but these people seem to be more intent on covering up the story. If it was all "out here" for everyone to see, people would know the truth, either way it turns out. Funny how the people who ridicule this article don't seem at all anxious to let everyone look at the records. Maybe because in their hearts, they suspect it will get in their way of their agenda...

Yeah, I get Newsmax updates on my blkbry and they seem either WAY behind or have news that NOBODY has broken and no one ever really follows up on...

I agree, my first thoughts were that these angels (Bob and Mary Schindler) were doing EVERYTHING in their power to find some way, any way possible to keep their daughter alive. Even after the 11th cicuit denied them the last time and they said they would no longer pursue other avenues, they did.... They could not help it, they did not want to let her be murdered and I absolutely agree with that....

But, think about it... If there were "90 ALLEGATIONS" of abuse to Terri BY Miichael, this is the first we hear of it??? It just doesn't jive to me, I guess...

"I don't think it's possible to have any more contempt for the left than as of this week with the murder of Terri Schaivo"

I'll agree with that concerning the left media. I was surprised though at people I know on the far left who feel the same as I do on this issue. Respect for life does cross political lines sometimes

She's gonna blow Dave and nothing you or anyone else can say will stop this. The truth is slowly emerging, kinda like the Bush Lied on WMD has emerged...you may want to tack away, IMO.

I need to check...but I think there was an ongoing case with Greer to remove Mikey as guardian....he hadn't ruled by the time Terri died. Maybe this has to do with that case.

Greer's rulings were so brazen, the whole thing is shocking but then I wonder why court after court denied the recent appeals?
Look at what happened with Sandy Berger...a weak slap on the wrist for treason. Seems that people in power cover up for each other...maybe as professional courtesy.
Is there no longer an avenue for real justice in this country?

"That's what makes it fishy. I'd put the brakes on running with this until I knew the whole story."

Agree about jumping to preordained conclusions but when does the whole story come out with sealing of records, dismissal of witnesses and evidence and an air of secrecy surrounding Terri's conditions of confinement on up to the autopsy process.

If I was wanting to fan flames of conspiracy I couldn't ask for better allies in pursuing this objective than MS, the Attorney Felos and the Judge Greer and his judicial cohorts. Their actions are so moronic as to invite serious suspicion. Let the record speak for itself - What is so wrong with that proposition?

The FL State can investigate into the Terri's death with hearings. It is the law. All records can be subpoenaed

The media was denied these reports. That's like blood in the water to these sharks. I'm waiting to see if any of them start digging for the truth. Too late for Terri.

No surprise there.

Does anyone else get reminded of the character Eric Robert's played in "Star 80" when you see Michael Schiavo? The gold chains, bracelets, the oh-so-80s- blow dried hair... and did I mention the total domineering bully factor?

For those not in the know, Star 80 was about the playboy centerfold Dorothy Stratton and her abusive boyfriend/husband who ended up killing her.

Hammesfahr had written in his report that Terri was responsive to tone of voice, to touch and pain. “She continued to handle her saliva during this time, never being observed to choke on her saliva; she would gauge the degree of pressure and counteract it equally. This is not a reflexive movement; the patient is not in a coma; she is alert and responsive to her environment; she tried to please others by doing activities for which she gets verbal praise; she attempts to verbalize”. Hammesfar also said that “she can swallow’ she is partially blind; she can feel pain; she can communicate……

Interestingly, I have seen this pattern of mixed brain (cerebral) and spinal cord findings in a patient once before, a patient who was asphyxiated”.

maybe law enforcement wanted to help keep it under wraps. please remember that both Michael and his live in love work for pinellas Sheriff's Dept. and former Sheriff Rice is a big crony of judge Greer.

This judge needs to be removed for refusing to follow the law and
for obstruction.

...it took them five or six days to report to the Federal Courts that Terri said "IIII waaaa..." If she really did say that dont you think they would have put that in their first series of appeals rather than their second.

Haven't you seen the video tapes? It is obvious she was responsive, even appropriately closed her eyes during prayer and opened them after "Amen", so what difference does it make when it was brought to he attention of the court? The Schindlers were totally amazed each time that Greer refused to consider what they brought to the court so they kept adding information each time they appeared before him.

MS, on the other hand, tailored his actions and comments strictly to fit the outcome of a court award. Once he got the money, he then remembered what she said. Prior to that he and his lawyers said she was expected to live another 50 years. That is what the award was based on. Afterward he immediately wanted her dead and said thats what she wanted too.

You are welcome to any opinion you care to hold, but for discussion here you should base it on facts because we do and will.

I'm happy to hear that you know some on the left who will err on the side of life, rather than death. All I've heard from the leftists I know is how right it was to let her die. I remind them that she wasn't "let to die" through act of omission, but rather by comission. But the ones I know are the same who justify the murder of abortion by reducing a (albiet) small human, to a non human entity.

I suppose the truth here is that true leftists reveal their understanding of murder by their twisting of the truth, in order to justify it. Even THEY don't want innocent blood on their hands outwardly.

But...attempt to wash it as they may, they still have it on them!
