Looks like Kofi Annan may be going down. Foxnews has obtained video tapes of Kofi Annan and Paul Volcker.
There are inconsistencies in Kofi Annan's statements. In other words...he's been caught red handed!

The report is not finished and the interim report in no way vindicated Kofi, it only stated that they didn't have a smoking gun at the time. The final report was to delve much deeper into the reasons for the Security Council actions in proliferating the oil for food scam, placing the blame on Kofi at the halfway point would have given the members of the Security Council way too much cover and a ready made scapegoat. Is that what you want?

I grant you that's a possibility, but that requires a lot of trust in the man leading the investigation and I have no reason to extend that without question.

That's exactly what the WSJ was afraid would happen. They questioned how many witnesses would be willing to testify if the information that they passed was going to be televised on CSpan. Too bad.

Christopher Shays was pretty adamant about going forward with the investigation when interviewed on F&F this a.m. I was impressed.

Volker has given us no reason to question his integrity and has nothing to gain by taking on this thankless job. On the other hand, Lanny Davis has given us much to question his motives. Any one who goes to this known partisan for representation in testimony before a Republican controlled committee is suspect. Think about it, the Clintons and the Democrats would love to see the UN and the Security Council continue their anti-American agenda.
