I'm watching Blues Brothers on tv. They don't make movies like that anymore.

I loved disco too, some of the songs were beautiful (More than a woman) and very romantic. Was nice to see the guys clean, dressed up and dancing. Even Fred Astaire approved one night on the Johnny Carson show, (course that didn't compare to him and Ginger).

Love that album cover.

Here in Phoenix on a call in talk show a caller who was at the concert said KC had blood streaming down his face, got up and sang two more songs; (including Boogie Shoes)then went to the hospital.

Well said. Classic rocks! Most disco I can do without, but it does serve its purposes, like aiding workouts and inducing massive laughing fits (Exhibit A = Disco Duck).

And I do rather like KC, especially the song "I'm Your Boggie Man".

Remember those shirts with the bands' various logos? Allegedly, they were great "chick getters."

Good sense of humor about it, I have to say.

I loved KC and SB. Still do. Ummmmmmm, my *mother* told me how good they were, and how fun the music was to dance to... (that's it.);)

To KC, wishing a quick recovery.

Haven't heard from his duet partner Terry DeSario in about 25 years or so.

"Haven't heard from his duet partner Terry DeSario in about 25 years or so."

About ten years ago or so, DeSario claimed Merv Griffith (back in the disco days) demanded "servicing."

Don't know how that turned out...

Hmmm -- I'd always heard Mervie was inclined to the alternative lifestyle -- maybe he likes it whatever the source. Perhaps he took that "Yes I'm Ready" a little too seriously.

While Arthur Treacher looked on disapprovingly. Merv's next guest will be the lovely and talented Julie Budd.

Gotta feel sorry for all you Disco-haters. I had to watch an hour of Hee-Haw in order to watch the Six Million Dollar Man back in the 70s, so if you one of the ones that hate Disco, I hope Country is not your preference. Except for that period during the 90s when they mixed a boatload of Rock into Country, it has always sucked. Other than Hank Williams Sr., Disco was much better.

I saw Carlito's Way the other night, and they had Shake Shake Shake Your Booty in the movie, with the Bass mixed high, making it sound even better than normal. If you can't appreciate that, you have no taste or you routinely wear a sheet over your head. Lynyrd Skynyrd better than K.C. and the Sunshine Band? Please...

"Lynyrd Skynrd" LOL.

Words to Camp Grenada (some of 'em)

Hello muddah, hello faddah
Here I am at Camp Granada
Camp is very entertaining
And they say we'll have some fun if it stops raining.

I went hiking with Joe Spivy
He developed poison ivy
You remember Leonard Skinner
He got ptomaine poisoning last night after dinner.
