"We're concerned because obviously they could fall into the hands of criminals." Duhhh... If someone took them, then by definition they would be a criminal.

This was on the news tonight. Apparently they left them in a "storage facility" and when they went to retrieve them, they discovered that the guns were gone.
Interesting tidbit I collected from the newscast - the padlock had not been cut and it was still installed on the door of the "facility".

More than $1300 a piece? Must have missed that in my last Cabela's catalog.

Tonight on the local news, they made it sound like the ATF was more worried about a specific kind of criminal.

That's more than $1300 per firearm.

That must be the "street" value.

What I am wondering is....Why did they have them stored at a facility which only needed a padlock to begin with.
But yeah....the padlock still being there...makes one wonder.
Cabela's should have waited til this weekend to bring them in. Then they could have stored that at the new store.

LOL! Bro, they have a flair for the obvious.
We're worried that the the criminals who stole these guns might be up to criminal activity.
To: ArmyBratproud
Mostly full-auto machine guns and SAM Man-Pads....according to the Brady Center Press Release I'm divining that's to be released in the AM.

Looks like Cabela's are going to make a heck of a profit on their insurance claim.

See, if we outlawed guns this would never happen. And everyone everywhere would be safe.(sarcasm off)
To: ArmyBratproud
BTW, Cabelas sells some very highend guns....... $1,300 a peice average could easily be skewed with just a few very expensive pieces.
