American jailers at the Guantanamo prison base for foreign terrorism suspects splashed a Koran with urine, kicked and stepped on the Islamic holy book and soaked it in water, the US Military said on Friday.
US Southern Command, responsible for the prision at the US Naval base at Guananamo bay, Cuba, described for the first time five cases of 'mishandling' of the Koran by US personnel confirmed by a newly completed military inquiry, said officials in a statement.

I agree with you. But IMHO they are making fools of themselves. With their support of the fascist terrorist by equating the 3000 deaths on 9/11 with the mishandling of the Koran they minimizing the 9/11 tragedy. They are quickly undercutting the little credibility they have left.
When our Nation's liberals explain why they respect Islam but malign the "religious right" I'll care.

Majoring on the minors. There have been hundreds of thousands of Iraqi muslims killed by the Hussein regime, and the press scarcely mentions that. They say, "We all know Hussein was a bad actor......", and that is supposed to suffice in the minds of the public that the subject matter was throroughly covered. MSM hates America, the military, fundamental American ideals. They major on "embarrasing people who tried to kill American soldiers, people who were 'splashed' with urine, and people who were forced to wear pantihose", all the while the real focal point should be on Arab cutting off the heads of innocent Iraqis,Jews, Americans.

There may have been Christians that are whackjobs, but they are also roundly denounced by the rest of mainstream Christianity. Muslims do not denounce their whackjobs. They are embraced. Because they agree. The silence of Islam writ large to the evil they spawn, is deafening.
