The highs of 47 Deg. F. recorded at Winnemucca, and 67 Deg. F. at Las Vegas, NV, were the lowest high records for June in all of Nevada since records have been kept.

Obscurantist Weather Study is a pet subject of mine.
I have weather charts for 1998 from a small island called Pulau Neira in Maluku, Indonesia tucked away somewhere in my records. But nothing beats the humidity charts for 1963 in Dapto, New South Wales, Australia for interesting late night reading.

Global warming. Or cooling. Or whatever.

On this day:
In 1976 fourty foot waves smashed into Gogha, India. A most excellent quality of warnings limited casualties to ~70. The waves had been a result of a cyclone. Dredging of the Bhvaganar harbor ceased for several years afterwards as storm runoff from the Kansa River continually washed sediment into the dredging area.

Sorry to disappoint you but it's just Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosie having go at it.
Have to keep the place cool so they don't have a heart attack.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate facts like these as I am also a weather nut and live near the Nevada border.

Give me more stuff like this. This stuff is wild !
It's no wonder I moved on from Trainspotting and Watching Grass Grow.

Then you make and maintain a ping list (should such need arise) and do the pinging and whatnot in that regard.

I'm only joking, but I do find meteorology a very interesting subject.

Joking?!? I see how ya are... ;)
Anyways, I'm a lifelong weather hobbiest (ex-Air Force certified met dude to boot too) and so I thought I could post these things daily. I don't care who responds (if anybody). Neither do I have time nor patience to police it either.
If you like this stuff, then you'll be taking it up upon yourself to ping others (not my "yob man") to the thread and all that nonsence. If you like that, you're more into pain than weather.
Whatever. My posting new threads could be interrupted by hurricanes (just so y'all are aware of all that and whatnot).
Other'n that, "carry on".

O.k. the way I see it: you and O.k.dokey are fork stuck (and eat-worthy).
You guys are gonna have to be waiting 'till tomorrow. But it is o.k. to talkst amongst yourselves if you are wont to.

The humidity in Memphis, Tennessee sets a new record every year. If I was young I would become a ENT doctor. You could make a fortune here.

Oh I'm definitely for you.
I'm just offering my very large non scientific reason for all the cool temperatures in Nevada.
