Thanks for the ping!
Hanoi Jane
where the soccer moms of America rewarded her and made her very rich by buying her exercise tapes.
I'm sorry to say I don't personally know anyone today from that movement who has admitted he was wrong, ala David Horowitz. No doubt there are other Freepers in this category, but all of the aging boomers of my acquaintance cling to the delusion that their moral superiority and idealism saved the world from the evil war of Nixon.

I have no idea what you were responding to. I was correcting your use of the past tense in the sentence I pasted from your comment.
I was just agreeing with you and giving some personal experiences to back it up.
You were, kind of. Your comment, even in agreement, is worded to sound as if the movement ended with Vietnam. It didn't. It is still active.
Got it! ~thanks again for the pingaling~ marking now..

LOL!
We will win yet :)

Today they are mostly subtler about it, though. You won't see Fonda or Kerry chanting "two, four, six, eight, organize and smash the state!". They have complicated "third way" rationalizations and socialist double speak now to make themselves more acceptable. Who knows, though, they might even still believe in "the revolution". Neither is very bright.
It is shocking that self-styled communist revolutionaries are quite welcome in the current Democratic party.
:) !!
Subtler? Have you not seen any anti Iraqi war rallies?? Did you miss the coffin march to the WTC??

Thanks to the National Lawyer's Guild and the ACLU.

Yes, they are the Democrats are the Progressive Caucus ::notice the URL!::
I had an idea about how to respond to Jane's bus tour. We announce that activists (mainly, freepers) are prepared to ARREST HER FOR TREASON under the Citizen Arrest provisions available in our constitution.
I've heard that there's no statute of limitations on treason. We hand her over to the local authorities, and she becomes one charged with treason against the United States. I can't tell if this idea has already been floated -- I did searches for Jane Fonda, Treason, Citizen Arrest and found no references on Free Republic. I will post this on 2 or 3 Hanoi Jane threads.
I will go for that
and Congress needs to bring Back The HUAC,and the Treason and Sedition act
