NOTE: This is the 18th episode in a series of stories regarding the events surrounding Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Hollywood fundraiser, and the business relationship of entrepreneur Peter Paul, the impeached William Jefferson Clinton, and Hillary Rodham Clinton, perpetrator of the largest campaign finance fraud in the history of Western civilization.
Annie Leibovitz is a famous photographer from New York. The elite pay her $25,000 for her services in her studio. I guess she must use that really, really special Fuji Film and serve really expensive wine and chocolate truffles in the waiting room.
In June of 2000, in connection with a Hillary fundraiser, Leibovitz took photos of three donors who had each given Hillary 25 grand. The value of Leibovitz’s in-kind contribution to Hillary should have been declared at $75,000. Hillary’s campaign, however, only declared a total of $6,000. Gee, that was unusual. It is almost unthinkable that Hillary would not be truthful. Right?
For those not familiar with FEC regulations, if someone gives the value of his or her services to a campaign, the value required to be reported is the fair market value of the services.
How much do you think a few minutes with Cher is worth? No, not for that kind of service. You’re thinking like Bill Clinton again. Stop it. How about for singing two songs as she did at the gala fundraiser concert in 2000? Would it be worth $25,000? $50,000? $100,000? Actually, someone of Cher’s stature would charge between $250,000 to $300,000. Dianna Ross, who was a co-headliner with Cher, would be worth an equivalent value.
In addition to the co-headliners, the concert featured six others. Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Sugar Ray, Toni Braxton, Melissa Etheridge, and Paul Anka were probably each worth about $75,000. Let’s do the math. $300,000 for Cher, $300,000 for Ross, $75,000 for each of six other performers. That is over a million dollars. We are not even counting the value of Peter's services producing the entire event.
Now, let’s see if you can guess how much the Hillary campaign declared as the in-kind value of the performers’ services. How about $1 million? How about $500,000? How about $100,000? Nope. Well, how about ZERO? Yep.
In this series, we have been describing the 2000 gala fundraiser as the biggest campaign finance fraud in history. It is not Peter Paul’s or Doug from Upland’s hyperbolic ranting. With the $1.9 million+ that Peter spent in cash, and the $1 million for in-kind entertainers, we are almost at $3 million dollars in-kind that was never reported.
Why are the numbers important? Had Hillary reported accurately, it would have taken hundreds and hundreds of thousands of hard dollars away from her in the final critical weeks of the senate campaign. She might not have been able to fund as much as 20-25 percent of her commercials in the closing several weeks. In the last few weeks, the campaign might have been bankrupt.
Was the almost $3 million not reported just an oversight? No. That is why you were told about Annie Leibovitz. They reported, inaccurately of course, $6,000 for her. They knew such report was required. Cher and Ross must be chopped liver. They were not reported at all. The $3 million was not just an oversight. It was clearly deliberate. It was campaign finance fraud as we have never before encountered. Lead by their queen, what a group of gypsies, tramps, and thieves, huh?
Dear Hillary, this is not going away. We are on you like Inspector Columbo. Excuse me, just one more question, ma’am.
