On Friday night, June 17, FReepers significantly outnumbered Code Pinkos assembled at a gate of Walter Reed Army Medical Center for the first time in this series of FReeps. This was due in part to reinforcement of DC Chapter FReepers by out-of-town FReepers. Six of our FReepers traveled more than 60 miles for the event.
This was the tenth time in just over 11 weeks that we FReeped Code Pink's anti-war protest at Walter Reed, where many of the most severely wounded troops from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are taken for continued treatment and rehabilitation. This was also one day after FReepers countered a pro-impeachment rally (click here for the report) put on by this same Code Pink, along with Progressive Democrats of America and various far-left members of Congress
The honor roll of those in attendance: kristinn, tgslTakoma, AlwaysFree, 3-D Joy, Flora McDonald, Justanobody, sauropod, hellinahandcart, bmwcyle, Doctor Raoul, BufordP, lurker Joan, Mudboy Slim and BillF. In contrast to our fourteen patriots, the leftists peaked at five America-hating traitors for a short period, but most of the time they only had three or four.
Significantly, this was the third week in a row that we have outnumbered them, although this was the first time we outnumbered them so dramatically. Three weeks back, they had an equal number to our number of patriots for a very short part of the night, but we outnumbered them for most of that evening. They have gone downhill since then. On this last Friday, they arrived late and left precisely on time like they were escaping from a job that they don't like.
In order to allow all of our signs to be visible, several of the FReepers spent part of the evening on a corner across from our main force. This was the first time that we had large enough numbers that we spread to a second corner of the intersection.
As has happened previously, a soldier and two relatives came over and chatted with us. The three were talking with us for much of the evening.
We had honks of support from passing motorists almost all the time, not that we encourage honks in the hospital zone. There were at least twenty honks of support for our side for each honk for the leftists. That has to demoralize the leftists. Not only have FReepers recently been outnumbering leftists, but motorists passing by in the liberal bastion of Washington, DC are supporting us.
We had two police cars honk to support us. (Note that there are numerous different police departments in DC). Also, an ambulance was among the vehicles honking to support us.
One vehicle leaving Walter Reed stopped in front of the Pinkos and apparently argued with the leftists, but we couldn't hear what was being said.
(Twice several weeks ago, individual veterans have angrily told us that they wanted to go over to the leftists and confront them. The first time we were able to convince the veteran that he should respect their rights and also avoid any trouble by staying away. The second occasion was an injured Iraq War veteran who pulled up his vehicle next to us and angrily asked why we weren't supporting the troops. We explained that we were not part of Code Pink, but actually opposing them. He came to appreciate that upon reading our signs. Despite our efforts to talk him out of it, he proceeded to confront the Pinkos. Fortunately, the confrontation was limited to some pulling on a sign.)
For the first time in this series of FReeps, something was thrown at us. An empty plastic water bottle harmlessly bounced off one of Doctor Raoul's arms. It was apparently thrown from a vehicle. We don't know if it was just a leftist driving by or possibly one of the Code Pinkos leaving. At any rate, it is probably indicative of the left's increasing frustration at being so ineffective.
As we have done on a number of these FReeps, we ate pizza on site before the FReep was under way.
The Pinkos evil scheme is to fake friendship with soldiers in hopes of finding one or more who, vulnerable in their wounded state, can be manipulated into joining the anti-war movement and breaking faith with their fellow troops. The leftist numbers have been dropping and they seem to be running out of steam.
We absolutely must keep the pressure on Code Pink and keep showing the wounded soldiers at Walter Reed that Code Pink doesn't speak for the nation. If you live in the DC area and haven't yet come out for one of these FReeps, please do so this next Friday. Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.
If we can sufficiently outnumber the leftists often enough, embarrassment may cause the leftists to stop these outrageous morale-damaging ("Maimed for a lie" is one of their signs) demonstrations at the hospital. What about you? Can you spare a few hours on a Friday night?
Can you give up next Friday night at the movies to support troops who've given up limbs for your freedoms? Will you?

DC Chapter co-leader kristinn has confirmed that we shall continue FReeping the Code Pinkos every Friday night until they stop their obscene blood dance outside the hospital of our war-wounded. If you agree with me that it is outrageous for Code Pinkos to demonstrate at a hospital with war-wounded troops inside, please come out and join us in a peaceful counter-protest.
Please don't let the troops think that regular Americans are too busy with TV, ballgames, movies and other recreation to peacefully counter America-hating leftists.
Being there with us in spirit is great, but we need people to hold the MOAB (Mother of all banners), other signs, and flags. Maybe you can't come every week, but please make it your patriotic duty to join us at least once in the near future.
As always, the DC Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect.
Briefly, they are: No violence. No profanity. No racism. No provocations. Obey the law. Treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
Start at 7:30 pm and go to about 10 pm.
Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 7200 Georgia Ave., at Elder St., NW
Code Pinkos have been setting up on the southwest corner of the Georgia Ave/Elder St intersection. We've been setting up on the northeast corner across the street from Walter Reed's entrance gate.
Well done, folks.
I wish I was a bit closer so I could join you. I'm certainly there in spirit!
Out cmae the Neo-Communist Green Party fangs, followed by the characteristic hissing and spitting by the Angry Left. Of course they wouldn't give a wounded soldier a Nickel until "Mother Earth" got hers first.
Also, they spewed another lie that makes up the left wing bible, that funds were massively cut at the VA. A simple trip to Annaberg's FactCheck.org shows they lie.
Thanks for doing such a great job! I only wish I lived closer to D.C. so I could join the fun.
Kind regards from TX.
DC Chapter ping!
FReepmail me or post a reply to get on or off the list.

Six of our FReepers traveled more than 60 miles from home to FReep last Friday night. What about you? Can you help?
If you're in the DC area and don't have family or work considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?
Thanks for the invite, Bill.
I'll get there to FReep these creeps with you sometime in the very near future!
You would let a little thing like 8000 miles stand in your way? :)
Thanks for the kind words from down under.
Great report!! I feel like I was there!
OH, I was!
I just want to say - Thanks from Missouri! - any help I can lend from here is yours.
Just plain OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!
Thanks gang!!

You guys keep raising the bar!
Naturally Mullah B has the most provocative signs!
Is it me or are the Code Pinko sings all sprayed red/pink?
If there is anyone in the greater Richmond area and north to DC that would like to attend these Friday night FReeps please FReepmail me. I will be more than happy to pick you up.
Thank you all for the great job you do!!! This was one of the most moving experiences of my life. From those leaving WRAMC, to those just driving by, to the neighbors out for a walk, the overwhelming support for our troops was apparent.
TRY IT - YOU'LL LIKE IT !
My wife and her aunt desparately want to go but they would get arrested within minutes for throwing an ass whipping on someone.
Uh-oh. It's Code Pink-o!
It was good to meet ya.
Ping
Profound
Right back at ya!!
What a great night - is it Friday yet?
I guess that's another category of people who should probably stay away. One has to be able to control oneself even when close to America-hating traitors.
Most of us are used to being close to the leftist scum. Also, we have a well-deserved reputation with law enforcement as people who obey the law. We want to keep that positive reputation.
Not only can you make unbelievably great signs, but you are also an outstanding writer.
Thanks for a wonderful post.
;*)
Thank you for so eloquently sharing your encounter with Craig and his family. God Bless Craig and the other men and women in uniform. Prayers to keep them safe as they continue to fight and sacrifice for our freedom and safety.
I'm unfortunately out of town this weekend, but I'll put next Friday night on my calendar and see if the Mrs. can spare me for a few hours. She's very supportive of our troops, so hopefully there won't be a schedule conflict.
Woohoo ... it will/would be great to meet you!
Hope that you can attend tonight.
Unfortunately, 3-D Joy and BufordP can't make it.
Not sure which ones of you guys are around, but if there is any possible way you could make this FReep, it would really be helpful.
Paraphrasing Doctor Raoul's words, "we have our boot on the Pinkos' throats and it is time to press hard." That is, with your help, we can get our turnout high enough to embarrass Code Pink into stopping their obscene blood-dance outside the hospital of our war-wounded.
Outstanding that you'll likely be there next Friday. It's a holiday weekend so we will probably need others to be there in case some of the regular FReepers can't make it.
If it's Friday - the DC Chapter will be out on the street at Walter Reed, letting our military men and women, and their families know that the majority of Americans support them and their mission in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Please come out and stand with us tonight.
7:30pm until 10pm - the Northeast corner of Georgia Ave and Elder St., NW - Washington, DC.
Eagles Up !!
Morning bump!
"Because the DC Chapter is there offering support and raising the consciousness of the WRAMC community, Code Pink has been given a "Pink Slip". They have effectively been fired as the traitors assigned to the corner of Elder and Georgia in Northwest DC."
Great post, Doctor Raoul!! A handful of people CAN make a difference -- in either direction! Hope there will be a big FReeper turnout tonight. I'll be there...
bttt
Mission Accomplish!
I could not get free until after 7 last night so I knew the drive was too long this time...waiting for a report today.
Bill,
Reread your report. It was spot on. No need to worry (vis a vis our conversation last evening).
Please confirm a "Support the Wounded Troops" contingent is on for this Friday evening from 7:30-10:00. I'm trying to clear my schedule and bring along a friend or two.
Yes, there will be FReepers countering the Code Pinkos blood-dance at Walter Reed this Friday. I will be posting an after-action report from last Friday's FReep in the next day or so.
Great. Appreciate the quick reply, and I look forward to your after-action report. I'll post an invitation for this Friday on the VA forum.
I have a new idea for this Friday, for those of you who may be interested.
;-)
I hope someone has a sign explaining that CODE PINK has now officially endorsed the terrorists killing of American soldiers.
