Mark Fuhrman: The facts of Terri Schiavo’s life (I read his new book today - five stars
MSNBC ^ | June 28 05 | Fuhrman

Posted on 06/28/2005 7:29:53 PM PDT by churchillbuff

This excerpt, from MSNBC, doesn't get anywhere near the meat of the book - where Fuhrman shows how Michael's inconstent statements, and the timeline of the morning that Terri collapsed, raise a lot of questions - and suspicions. Read the book.

My heart went out to her family because I could see that they were let down by indifferent police work, arrogant judges, and poor access to legal representation. I hope this book makes people look and see that all the fantasy of Law and Order and celebrity trials is not the same justice that average folks get, sometimes and some places.

I read the book this afternon and I recommend it.

Even some of the ACTUAL JURORS said, when interviewed after the verdict, This is payback, for all the innocent black men who have been persecuted and wrongly prosecuted over the years (that's a near-quote).

I remember individuals not involved saying such things, but not jurors. I challenge you to find a bonafide quote from a member of that jury that comes close to that.

The evidence didn't matter. I believe he would have been acquitted if Mark Fuhrman never existed.

Fact of the matter is that Fuhrman did perjure himself when he responded to F. Lee Bailey's questions about racial slurs by saying he didn't use the word. When audiotapes surfaced proving he did, the die was cast. It didn't help that the LAPD violated its own protocol in the transmission of evidence, and lied about Simpson not being a main suspect. For jurors who may have been prejudiced against police, that was probably enough to suggest that Simpson was framed.

I don't believe that blacks by-and-large were so enamored of the lavish-living, blonde bombshell-loving Simpson that they would allow HIM to get away with killing two people to make a larger point. O.J. was not Rodney King, a common ghetto dweller who served as a beaten-bloody spokesman for blacks who feel like they're victimized.

Let me interject at this point that I am a black man.

First of all, no interjection needed here that you are a black man--that was evident, to me.

I said: "Even some of the ACTUAL JURORS said, when interviewed after the verdict, This is payback, for all the innocent black men who have been persecuted and wrongly prosecuted over the years (that's a near-quote)."

You said, to that: "I remember individuals not involved saying such things, but not jurors. I challenge you to find a bonafide quote from a member of that jury that comes close to that."

What's in it for me, if I find such a quote? This is too much, friend. The bigger question should be asked of yourself: What quote would "come close to that"? Would you then challenge that, saying I had misinterpreted it? I see that as a no-win for me, so I will respectfully decline to do your research for free.

As a black man, here's something for you to consider: It's entirely possible for a Mark Furhman to say racist remarks, even to BE a racist...but to be fully professional in the execution of his duties, without bias. To put that another way: A white stone racist could give you a fair trial. Just as a black stone racist could give Mark Fuhrman a fair trial.

I would bet my better car that you will pop back in disagreemnt, but I would ask you to ponder it a while.

Anyone who says that he is a "black man" is just by that assertion, a racist.

What was the source of the audiotapes, who taped the conversations, and what was the reason for the conversations in which Fuhrman used a racial slur?
Do you have any recollection?

I am picking up my copy at the public library. If you don't want to own the copy then make a request at your pl to get it. That way someone who might not have paid much attention may pick it and read it.

What's your point, really?

Hopefully you're not another one who thinks this case is something to be made light of.

My point is that I carefully pick my books, even those by Mark Fuhrman.

His book will make a few new points that will show up on these FR pages, anyway.

Like him or hate him, Mark Fuhrman is a good investigator and brings credibility to the facts. His book should be interesting reading.

Don't hold your breath too long.

I know several Freepers that have read it and have posted here and nobody is about to spill the beans this soon after the release.

Mark Fuhrman's new points are not going to make a difference in my life whether I discover them this month or this year or next year.

I heard him on the radio with Hannity the other day, and HE spilled the beans. Hannity asked him straight up whether Michael did it, and Fuhrman hedged his response.

Coulda/woulda/ifa

I can definitely wait on that one.

Ok..but you are missing out I'm telling ya.

Unless you think like an investigator there is no way you could put all of it together like he did.
