I guess it depends on the state. 65% would be charitable in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. I don't know where the numbers seem out of line.

Very interesting! Not surprising that most of the disapprovals are in the blue states.

I think it was Nixon that said this, "It would be a good thing if someone would saw off the Atlantic Seaboard and let it float away!"

Anyone want to import this into Excel and find out a few things.. such as the shift in the median? Direction in which Bush states are moving. Direction in which Kerry states are moving. Etc.

I think it would be interesting to see if the average dropped do to a couple of anomalies in the data, while the general trend is in fact in favor of Bush.

I believe it. I can't remember the last time I saw a positive article in our local rags about Bush.

Believe it. The media hammers the guy all day, every day. He could piss out a forest fire and the press would criticize him for a toxic spill. That being said, he has been one of our worse presidents when it comes to speaking to the people. He should have his face out there refuting this barrage of bs. For some reason the GOP never sees the need to refute anything with the truth.

Since we have discovered that the census counted foreigners (illegal and legal), polls using weighted averages of the States are not accurate. Survey USA's polls are totally flawed now the latest announcement about the census counting non-citizens. CA also has six too many Congressman because of counting foreigners.

You can look at the bottom 20 states and avoid moving there.

Perhaps. If the methodology is consistent, however, it helps to spot trends.

Nearly all pollsters weight their data against census figures.

It does matter in 2006 if unhappy voters decide to "send him a message" via our House and Senate candidates.

I think you're accurate to say he doesn't often speak well to the people. He speaks enough to our military and their families but the rest of America seems to be left out.

Case in point; the recent Supreme Court decision regarding Eminent Domain. Everyone I know including democrats are all up in arms about it.

Where was George W. Bush on this decision? Did he have an opinion?

The GW I would like to have seen would be out in front of every camera he could find to say that the decision was wrong and that's why he needs to get justices lined up that will uphold the Constitution.

But instead he ignores the issue!

He does well with Iraq and the WOT, but anything else he just lets it ride. It's like he can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

And then he has his father bumping and grinding with Slick Willie.

He's simply out of touch.

He should be thanking the Swift Boat Vets for his 2nd term.
