When Sandy Berger goes to jail, that's when i'll ask for Rove to step down.

This is all being investigated - all well and good. Find the facts and let the chips fall where they may.
But, to make the understatement of the week, I think that in light of all the Democrat-manufactured non-scandals with respect to the Bush administration, a healthy amount of skepticism is in order.

Alternate title: "Democrats Break Wind, Blame Rove"
The only scandal they are smelling emanates from themselves, IMO.

Rove has done nothing illegal. There was no discussion of covert operators. There was a discussion of Wilson's trip to check on uranium. He said that Wilson's wife authorized the trip and that she works at CIA.
1. He didn't use her name.
2. Authorizing travel is not a covert job. It's a personnel activity.

The President needs to come out TODAY and say that Karl Rove did not "out" Valerie Plame, and he will be staying on the President's team until the end of this administration. Period. The longer they can make headlines with this non-issue, the worse it will get.
Shame on that old Democrat, Novak, who sits like a sphinx with the real information, and won't give it up until October, when the grand jury term is over. He ought to be horse whipped for causing the President this grief when W should be working on serious issues. If there were real justice, Novak would be sitting in jail instead of Judith Miller.

When has a denial of a crime, when no crime appears to have been committed, a terminatable offense? No one owes this BS liberal MSM any explanation of anything. I still haven't heard any evidence that Rove "leaked" her name. My wife got me a job one time, when I was younger, does anyone here now know her name?

Just for a moment, let's give the Dumocrats their LSD induced fantasy. Even if Rove resigns, there is nothing short of a court order that can keep him and President Bush from planning strategy. I would actually like to see Rove resign, but continue with his present duties at no pay. What would the Dums say then?

"Rove reportedly told Cooper that it was "Wilson' wife, who apparently works at the agency" -- who had arranged Wilson's trip to Niger."
So Cooper was wanting to discuss Wilson's trip to Niger with Rove. Got to wonder if Cooper knew WHO set this trip up the sole purpose appears to be the protection of Saddam, at least that is the way his article in the NYTimes reads.
JFKerry ran a whole campaign for president in support of saving Saddam and the French/Germans/Russian oil deals.
Sounds like a set up from the get go. Also got to wonder who gave Wilson and his woman the idea to begin with???
To: Fierce Allegiance
-- Who in the Bush administration told New York Times reporter Judith Miller about Plame? "The information cannot have come from Rove, since Rove has 'released' Cooper from confidentiality," the DNC said. " If Rove were Miller's source, wouldn't he do the same for her? So who was Miller -- a reporter working on WMDs -- talking to?" (Miller is now serving time in jail for refusing to reveal her confidential source.)
This seems to be the key to all of this. If the source was not Rove, it is not likely that it was anyone else in the White House. Novak referred to "Administration Officials", not specifically "White House sources", so it does beg the question, why is Miller willing to go to jail to protect her source? I doubt that it is on principle.

...but the truth is Rove betrayed the identity of an undercover officer fighting on the front lines in the war on terror. When did this happen and how does he know? He's stating fact that Rove is guilty where none has been proven or even charged........sounds like libel to me.......

Rove has committed no crime, no immoral act, nothing wrong. Even if he did inadvertently or intentionally mention a former CIA agent, so what. My wife went to college with two guys who went to work for the CIA. Would it be a crime if she said their names.
Now I know why the RATS are called DUmmies.

"Wilson' wife, who apparently works at the agency"
It's pretty clear what happened here. Cooper asked why Wilson was sent to Niger, and Rove said the trip was arranged " . . . by his wife, who works at the agency." Many in Washington apparently knew Wilson's wife worked at the agency, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the loudmouth Wilson who was the original source of the info. At any rate, this exchange makes it clear that Rove wasn't trying to "out" Plame or "punish" Wilson - in response to a question, he was just explaining what happened. Some scandal. (sarcasm)
To: Fierce Allegiance
The MSM is just responding to the 'call from Hillary' to put more effort into investigating and focusing on the Bush Administration. The MSM has responded loudly and clearly!!
To: Fierce Allegiance
No one is more politically brilliant than Karl Rove. He is a strategist without peers.
With that said, why are the democRats insisting on pressing this issue, which obviously is going to back fire on them, and make them AND Howie Dean look even dumber than they actually are???? The democRats are going to come out of this looking like asses. But wait.....the ass IS their national party symbol isn't it. And the biggest ass in the USA is their party chairman, Dr. Demento. Enough said???
