focusing on terrorism overseas isn't all Bush and the Repulicans are doing, and this is why we've not an attack in theUS since 911.

Now here is an idea. Rep King said there was no way to secure $5 million commuters. I'll bet one could change that from a mass transit scramble of anonymous commuters to a very civilized and much more secure system. Probably 98% of the commuters take the same train to and from work every day. Suppose you set up a system which registered them, sold them a season pass, and assigned a seat on the trains they want. Then you would have most of the cars filled with the same people every day who would get to recognize each other and woud know if something was amiss. They would probably find that people would pay a premium for this. That leaves a small percentage of miscellaneous passengers who could be screened and surveiled in general population cars at the cabose.
