The family of a Marine who was killed in Iraq is furious with Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll for showing up uninvited at his funeral this week, handing out her business card and then saying "our government" is against the war.

I lurked for a while as well, got into FR from my dad (he was a vietnam veteran, but passed away 2 years ago at 60yrs. old from bone cancer) He was the type that RARELY talked about Vietnam, but when he'd tell me of some of the frightening exchanges he'd have with their enemy, he'd finish it off with "We handed them their ass!!" Thus my screen name... :o)

Sgt. Joseph P. Goodrich and Lance Cpl. Ryan J. Kovacicek, both second-generation Marines, were killed in a mortar attack on July 10th.
The PA Lt. Governor is a heartless, soulless you-know-what to have used Sgt. Goodrich's funeral as a campaign stop. I sent my email to her office last night.

The County Press a conservative weekly ran 21 editorials on how to save the Inquirer and the Democratic Party. The Inquirer did not heed the good advice.
I wish I had a paper to read like the county press. All I have is the Inky and the Daily news. The Evening Bulletin isn't available near me. They sent me 2 copies via mail but they're only about 6 pages and not much to read.
I was looking for some appropriate words when I read your post. I couldn't have said it better. It is getting to the point of anything goes. Some day, some way,they will pay for their stance.
I won't take exception to your comments regarding the politicians in PA. I agree. I want to note that I usually ask people that I meet in the military services, DoD and intel community where they're from. I'm told by many that they're from PA. I thank God for the abundance of patriots serving this nation from PA.
