Amber Alert Issued for 8 Year old Nevada Girl Posted: Saturday July 23, 2005 10:06 AM CT
The Lion county Sheriff's office and the state of Nevada issued the Amber Alert after the child was abducted Friday.
Lydia Bethany-Rose Rupp 8 year old female. She's 4 feet 9 inches tall, 85 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
The suspect is Aguerro, Fernando P. (AKA Gonzales, Fernando) who is a Hispanic male approximately 48 years of age. He is 6 foot 1 inch tall and 175 pounds. He has black and gray hair and brown eyes. He's slim build with a mustache.
He is driving a blue or silver Kia Rio with no license plates. The direction of travel is unknown. The suspect has relatives in Las Vegas and San Diego.
Anyone with information should call the Lion County Sheriff's office at 775-575-3383 or dial 911.

I hope this poor girl gets the attention and media coverage that has been given to the Aruban missing girl. If I lived out there I would be in my car now driving all over looking for this poor child. What a horror. This has got to stop!!!

Wisconsin had one this week, too. They caught the guy, but of course, he raped the twelve year old before they found her. Twice at a minimum. He was a "friend of the family" which is code for "Mom's shack-up boyfriend." He was a previous sex offender from New York; what he was doing out of jail is anyone's guess. Maybe a liberal judge in that state thought he should be released because he didn't rape any little girls while in prison? *Rolleyes*

Losers .. in every imaginable sense of the word.
All known sex-offenders (those in the category who have kidnapped, raped, molested, or harmed CHILDREN) who are anywhere in the US. (free, on probation, or still in prison) should be immediately rounded up, taken to some military training location, outfitted with equipment, and sent immediately in one separate unit into the heart of battle in Iraq!
Let them face the insurgents and terrorists, with no training or ability to protect themselves (in other words – with capability equal to that of their victims). Get them out of here and put them in a position where they have to suffer, be frightened, and fight for their lives as their victims have had to do.
This just makes me so angry. I need to take another blood pressure pill!

Geeze, when this girl is found (I say so hopefully) I hope someone gives her mother a good talking to or, better yet gives this girl to some adults who will cherish and protect her. In other words, people who will be more concerned about being a parent than having a good time, satisfying some selfish needs and having a relationship with criminals and perverts.

Why would you want to put our fine young fighting men in danger with these creeps???!!!! Our fighting men on the front lines need teamwork, cohesion, and trust in their brothers to do their job. Why would you put these jerks there to endanger our good men's lives????!!!
There is no justification that can make this decision one worthy of understanding. I would not care what my financial status was (for those who might say she needed the money, etc.) or how lonely I was, - or, how much I was trying to do a good deed and help a former jail bird. There is just no way I would ever have let a stranger (male or female) move in my house with me and my children. That is like putting your child on the railroad track, and then expecting her to get away before a train hits her. You just do not put your child in harm's way. Bad things happen to children enough times without bringing the harmful people into your home!
I agree. I tried to run this guys name in one of the California's Sex Offenders registry, and nothing came up. Wouldn't he have had to register there as well as in Lyon? I seems strange it wouldn't.
But read the intent behind my words. And do not take offense. You knew what I really meant. Don't try to turn this into some silly argument about another topic. This is just a frustration with these perps and my wish that something bad enough could be done to them so they would suffer. It is no more logical than sending them out to sea and dumping them, or branding them, or any ideas that we are all venting here. But our vents are showing our disdain and total nausea with these situations.
What ideas do you have that we should do to keep these perps off the streets and away from innocent and vulnerable children???

How could someone invite a person (esp. a man) to live with them after only knowing them a few months and NOT have had them checked out? Not in this day and age would/should any woman invite a man into her home within only 3 months of meeting him. Even his desire to move in would be suspect to me. I mean, if a guy does not have his own nice place, a good job, decent car, etc. and looks to be somewhat self-reliant (and even then one can be fooled) does that sound like a worthy person to take up a relationship with? Come on, mom of this poor girl....What were you thinking????
The girl and dog were not ALL that was missing.
Mother returned home at around 1500 hrs to find suspect, daughter, and brown cocker spaniel dog missing along with victim and suspect's clothing. Mother attempted to locate daughter and suspect until around 2330 hrs when she called the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
IOW, she dinked around, essentially giving him, her daughter, AND THEIR CLOTHES an 8 hr head start, when she MUST have known he had cut & run.
Suspect was in possession of all victim and mother's identification ie: birth certificate, SS card, etc.
Suspect took all photographs of victim from the residence.
Mother had very little personal infomation on suspect. (NB: Good enough to sleep with, but...) Mother and suspect had been arguing about the attention suspect was paying towards the vicitm
So, she KNEW he was interestested in her daughter.
The absolute biggest item missing in this whole mess, next of course to the daughter, is this woman's alleged brain.
It was a derogatory statement to say that putting these people with our troops was just punishment! Don't play innocent.

This is a thread about a poor kidnapped child and I do not want it to degenerate into some argument that you are cooking up for another reason. You know what I meant. I meant that I would love to see these criminals facing a terrorist, unarmed, out in the hot broiling sun, in the desert, wondering if they were going to have their head cut off...that would be bad for them.
Now, get with the program here. If you do not want to talk about this poor child, just go away. I do not have time, or the patience now, to deal with one who is trying to turn this into a personal argument that he/she is getting some satisfaction from in some strange way.

Oh, trussell, so do I, so do I. To think the mother waited 8 hours before alerting the police. I can't imagine waiting 15 minutes when I discovered a daughter, dog, and everything else gone as this woman did. This is horrible. How can anyone be so stupid as to let a (almost) complete stranger live in their own home with a small child there?
Rape a child - mandatory death penalty. It's the only way.

When I came home and found my kids and my daughter's new clothes gone...I called the police immediately. In my case it was the real father that disappeared with them. (with no notice).
The only problem was, he had left immediately after I left for school and work for the day...I had been gone from about 7 am to 3 pm.
Not politically correct, but a good solution to the problem.
OMG, how horrible for you. How long before you found your children? I hope all is well for you now. So many of us have had tragedies in our lives, maybe that is what unites us in concern for children and a sane life. God bless you, trussell, I hope you did not suffer too badly or too long.
