For the past eight days, the city of Mahabad, dominated by Kurdish ethnic groups, was the scene of bloody clashes between defiant freedom-demanding demonstrators and the Islamic Security Forces. Martial Law has been virtually declared in this city. Hundreds of young residents have been arrested and many have been tortured.
Today, 23 July two severely wounded youth have been transferred to the public hospital where they are under intense care. Much of the public have closed businesses and gathered in protest in front of the city's prison.
Last week in the city of Mahabad, a Kurdish-Iranian named Shovaneh Qaderi was detained by plainclothes affiliates of the regime. He later died due to severe beatings and torture.
The International Alliance of Iranian Students condemns this violent attack against the Kurdish ethnic groups, and stands by the Kurdish people of Iran for the establishment of a secular and democratic government in Iran based on popular vote and human rights.

OMG, that actually hurt to look at that picture. How can anyone do something like that to another human being?

You think that looks bad, go to the source of the photo. Definitely not for the squeamish. Left click on the photo go to properties, copy and paste to the address bar.

What's your take? Do you think the Iranians want to be liberated? Or would they go jihad on us if we tried?

The best defense is a strong offense. If the rats want to whine, swamp them with things to whine about.

I hope you're right. But how much fraud was in that last Iranian election? I realise the candidates were cherry-picked. But how many actually voted for that guy?

I don't know how many really voted for that guy.
But given the fact that the whole election was a joke, you shouldn't be surprised by their numbers.
They selected that guy... He wasn't elected in a democratic election though!

Confusion to the enemy. The US should lull the Iranian regime into a false sense of security.

Thank you. I hope you are right. The US can find out one way or the other and handle Iran's regime appropriately. FRegards....
