Hmmmmmmmmm...makes a LOT of sense! We all know that Miller is not, not, NOT protecting Rove nor Libby.
I don't think Joe Wilson's op-ed raised any critical issues about WMD. It read like really bad, cheap fiction.
I don't think this is the same state dinner. I'm reasonably sure -though now I can't say 100% sure because of the passage of time- that the dinner in my link was in Africa and no other names on that guest list rang a bell at the time. I think we would have noted Clinton's presence there were he mentioned.
On the other hand, it tells us when Joe Wilson was NOT in Africa. ;-)
"I don't think Joe Wilson's op-ed raised any critical issues about WMD"
Correct, but you're thinking rationally, and therefore not like the MSM. The actual impact of Wilson's op-ed, through endless media hype and deception, has been to (supposedly) 'discredit' the Bush SOU address and the whole justification for the Iraq War. Even though the infamous "16 words" were true as stated, even though the question of whether Iraq sought any new uranium supplies was only one small part of the WMD picture which was only one limited part of the overall justification for war.....
Nothing matters except that many/most reporters, editors, and talking heads are swallowing Joe Wilson's "bad, cheap fiction" whole hog, and even as his frauds are thoroughly debunked it has no impact because the MSM already has its talking points and will not deviate from them....
Convenient.
I'm thinking Fitzgerald is a bit smarter than to conduct of full-bore GJ investigation of nothing at all.
I hope Fitz is reading FR!
Keep up the good work!
