"Did he or did he not kill a woman at Chappaquiddic" Ann Coulter

On Hannity and Colmes, While discussing the requirements of a Supreme Court nominee, Ann just sarcastically noted that it was ok to kill a girl at Chappiquiddic. Colmes said that was a low blow and that comment was below her.

WHY??? WHAT is so darned SACRED about mentioning the truth???

Ann said, "Why..."

Colmes didn't answer, and the set was quiet.

Hannity and Reagan (another guest) should have spoken up.

This is another example of "The Emperor is NAKED!"

President Bush admitted he had a drinking problem & became a tea-totaler. What "illegal stuff" is Colmes blabbering about?

What about Kennedy? He's still an alcoholic and leaving a woman to drown wasn't just "illegal stuff," it was manslaughter. Alan, buy a clue.

To repeatedly attack and accuse him years on end over a tragic accident is cheap and low IMHO.

The problem is, was it really an accident or was it an 'on purpose'. THAT is the question that has NEVER been properly settled. Neither has it ever been settled whether she was willing in the vehicle; nor whose child was growing within her.

Getting away with murder (if this were indeed murder) for decades is not the same of being innocent of said murder. There is no statute of limitations, but there are many linguring questions.

I was voting age in 1969, so it is not "book history" to me.

Let's not forget that Teddy boy paid someone to take his Spanish exam at Harvard, and he got booted out. Not to mention living it up with his nephews the night before his nephew was accused of rape.

The man is truly a living, breathing pile of bovine excrement.

He swam home, took a shower, poured himself a large, stiff drink and called his lawyerS.
He panicked and let that poor girl drown.

It really comes down to the fact that Teddy was drunk when he killed her. Any other person would have been charged with criminally negligent homicide at the minimum and would have gone to prison. It's a travesty that Teddy and his boozing killed that poor woman and the liberals try to pass it off as unmentionable.

The GOP campaign slogan for 2008 should be:

From Mary Jo Kopechne…

I would have been 65 years of age this year. Read about me and my killer below.

When Sen. Ted Kennedy was merely just another Democrat bloating on Capitol Hill on behalf of liberal causes, it was perhaps excusable to ignore his deplorable past. But now that he's become a leading Republican attack dog, positioning himself
as Washington's leading arbiter of truth and integrity, the days for such indulgence are now over.

It's time for the GOP to stand up and remind America why this chief spokesman had to abandon his own presidential bid in 1980 - time to say the words Mary Jo Kopechne out loud.

As is often the case, Republicans have deluded themselves into thinking that most Americans already know the story of how this "Conscience of the Democratic Party" left Miss Kopechne behind to die in the waters underneath the Edgartown Bridge in July 1969, after a night of drinking and partying with the young blonde campaign worker.

But most Americans under 40 have never heard that story, or details of how Kennedy swam to safety, then tried to get his cousin Joe Garghan to say he was behind the wheel. Those young voters don't know how Miss Kopechne, trapped inside Kennedy's
Oldsmobile, gasped for air until she finally died, while the Democrats' leading Iraq war critic rushed back to his compound to formulate the best alibi he could think of.

Neither does Generation X know how Kennedy was thrown out of Harvard on his ear 15 years earlier -- for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish final. Or why the US Army denied him a commission because he cheated on tests. As they listen to the Democrats' "Liberal Lion" accuse President Bush of "telling lie after lie after lie" to get America to go to war in Iraq, young
voters don't know about that notorious 1991 Easter weekend in Palm Beach, when Uncle Teddy rounded up his nephews for a night on the town, an evening that ended with one of them credibly accused of rape.

It's time for Republicans to state unabashedly that they will no longer "go along with the gag" when it comes to Uncle Ted's rants about deception and moral turpitude inside the Bush White House. And if the Republicans don't, let's do it ourselves by passing this forgotten disgrace around the Internet to wake up memories of what a fraud and fake Teddy really is.

The Democratic Party should be ashamed to have the national disgrace from Massachusetts as their spokesman.

And the GOP needs to say so out loud !!!!!!!!

I'm calling you on your intellectual dishonesty in this discussion:

Yes, driving off the bridge into the water was an accident.

What followed, the running away, leaving a girl to drown, and the scheming to cover it up is NOT an accident. Those were deliberate acts.

Yet, you persistently call everything an accident, and (apparently) refuse to explain why.

THAT is being intellectually dishonest.

REmember the DUI that he supposedly had?

Do you remember that the dems think that Bush had a cocaine problem?

See---THAT is the moral relativism of the left...those two above "instances" = Kennedy leaving a woman to drown in her car!

I guess we shouldn't be surprised. If they mention it first, they think they can control the spin.
